Comments on: More Troops Dying In Afghanistan Than Iraq
Strengthening Terror Groups Make Afghanistan Deadlier For Coalition Troops 2 Months In A Row
- This is the other failed occupation we have no chance of winning. Because people don''t want to be ruled by ignorant corporation-loving war-monger like Americans.

- The Taliban has been making a fortune selling heroin over the last year or so. Take the money out of heroin and hashish and we regain control. Don''t forget that the British and Soviets both took an @ss kicking in Afghanistan and if the US doesn''t do this properly we''ll be the third superpower to lose there. I''m talking about legalizing heroin and hashish. The junkies can all OD and the enemy runs out of money. It won''t fail any faster or worse than the other approaches.

You sound desperate to save face in light of the Dismal RINOpublican Failure of both wars. If only you dumplings would have focused on Afghanistan instead of invading Iraq for no reason.
What a hoot. - Reply to this comment

- Additional US troops (Marines) were moved into Afghanistan a few months ago and they have been escalating the pressure on the Taliban at the same time as the perennial Spring Taliban offensive.
At the beginning of the Iraq surge, deaths were up.
Deaths in Iraq are now way down.
Maybe, Afghanistan will follow that curve. - Reply to this comment
- How''s that surge working for ya, George?!

Can you read?
The article clearly states (at the very beginning):
"Militants killed more U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan in June than in Iraq for the second straight month..." - Reply to this comment
- The Taliban is seeing a resurgence in Afghanistan due to one person - GW Bush.
Instead of ensuring the Taliban was finished off, GW Bush decided to divert troops, weapons and money from Afghanistan so that he could invade Iraq.
Impressing his daddy, taking the oil and settling old scores was more important to him.
But then, what do we expect when we have an idiot for a President? - Reply to this comment
- And now McCain and Bush both want to attack Iran, but neither of them know the difference between a Sunni and a Shiite, and it is doubtful that neither of them know the difference between an Arab and a Persian.

- Maybe a surge in troop level in Afganistan will help, wait, we can''t, their all in Iraq. I''ve got it, lets start a draft, we''re going to need hundreds of thousands more anyway after we attack Iran.

no it isn''t ... the use of the word ''dying'' infers present tense ... which would mean ''now'' ... as in this month. i don''t feel misled at all.
now if you really want to talk about being misled ... well ... - Reply to this comment

Yeah...I''m sure it was just a fluke like the 4000 plus troops we lost in Iraq. Go back to sleep...don''t worry about a thing. After all, we are in good hands with bush and cheney at the helm. - Reply to this comment
