bm6005 has made some good points. Afghanistan is the place we should always have been fighting, not Iraq. Its where the heart of Al Queda is. In order to destroy a snake you don''t cut off its tail like we''ve been doing. You cut off its head. We had Bin Ladin trapped and he got out of Tora Bora because Bush chose to use an alliance of Pashtun tribesman to go into Tora Bora instead of our own people. We have our own troops that make up the tenth Mountain Division who specialize in that kind of fighting and fought the Nazis in the Alps. That is what we should have done and Bin Ladin would be dead as he should be. Iraq was an unnecessary distraction for Bush''s own agenda not the good of the nation.

Folks,
The 1st Bush''s policy on the War on Drug was to kill Pablo Escobar who was the leader of the largest Drug Cartel Medellin in Columbia. When Pablo was killed in 1993, 10 liutenants were ready to replace him. Today, U.S. imports 3 times more coke from Columbia than in 1993.

One Taliban commander cockroach killed just like in 2002, 10 new cockroaches will come out from hiding happy to take over.

Iraq, where Saddam kept Iran in check.
Where are the WMD''s.

We have managed to destabilize the entire region.
Where are those WMD''s.

BIG OIL LIVES.
Where are the WMD''s.

THE SURGE.!!!!! How many bombs have gone off this week alone.

Where are the WMD''s.

The Big Oil families have grown SUPER RICH. (Oh by the way, the Bush$hits are members of that club)

Have I asked, where are the WMD''s.?

We have been fed Bush$hit, and they have lined their pockets at the expense of 4000+ American lives.

when osama bin laden is killed or captured, I can see all the republican biggots crying their bleeding hearts out for their freedom fighter. In fact they are problably crying their hearts out right now for that islamic leader that was killed by the pakistani forces. Thank god in the region there are NATO and pakistani troops to do the job of exterminating all the religious fanatics, unfortunately, those fanatics are probably being armed at the same time by the US since they are their allies. Bin laden is probably dancing in one foot out of happiness to see that al quaeda has thousands of new rectruits thanks to bush''s invasion of Iraq. Winston Churchill would say "never so few became so many thanks to one man and his party of religious lunatics".

good thing the republicons won''t sell us out to iran anymore. The iranians won''t get help from the US once bush and his islamic christian fundamentalists step down. There won''t be an oliver north working on exchange of hostages for weapons with iran. There won''t be any republicons providing stinger missiles to their jihad al quaeda brothers. There won''t be anybody bombing the olympic games, nor burning churches, nor bombing our hospitals, nor biggot mob lynchings. Secular education and reasoning will be brought back into the debate in exchange of fairy tales, unreasonable and illogical myths like the bible. Nobody will sell us out to the royal saudi family in exchange for profits once bush steps down. There won''t be anybody to say that "we are wagging the dog" next time we are beating up on Osama bin Jesus. Instead of spending millions on investigating a blow ,,job we will spend millions on destroying the caves and hide outs of bush''s friends and putting in prision islamic followers like oliver north, gordon liddy, bin laden, and all the other so called "islamic christian freedom fighters"

One day soon, I expect to hear about Obama sin Laden being killed or (better yet) captured. I can''''t wait to read the comments on that news story, especially if it occurs within a few months of the election.

What''''s good for America is bad for liberal dems!!

Posted by Glock4me

Hopefully, Americans are smarter than that. Hopefully, they''ll remember that OBL was cornered in Bora, Bora not long after 9/11 but the moron-in-chief decided to divert resources instead to Eye-Rack. If Obama is the Dem. choice, I suspect he''ll have the courage to remind people of the disastrous decisions that have brought us to where we are today, and why, therefore, the Dems. are the best for national security. It''s not a matter of debate, only of fact.
I would say your final comment is a little off. It should read: "What''s good for liberal Dems. is bad for the industrial military complex".

Yeah, yeah, they''re all notorious and senior level al Qaeda--oops, make that Taliban(!)--operatives.
They''re all one step away from Osama bin Laden.
They''re all his senior lieutenants.
They hate us for our freedom.
Just a few dead enders left.
Stay the course.
Blah, blah, blah.

Educate yourself. Some great books to read are "Fiasco", "Hubris" and "Life in the Emerald City". They give insight into the half assed approach your hero''s took to the war in Iraq. Also consider that we got in this war because Saddam "tried to kill my Daddy". Good reason for a war, eh?

It was Japan not Germany that attacked Pearl Harbon.
Posted by downsteamjim

Ok Jim let''s look at this logically. Japan, Italy and Germany were allies. I''ve never heard of a war where you attack one of a group of allies and not the others. Now explain to me the allied relationship between Saddam and Al Queda? They hated each other, they were not allies. They both refused dealing with each other.

Your message bashing Bush and blaming him for all the trouble in the world is typical of blinded libs.
noclue

I don''t blame Boosh for every problem in the world. Just everything that HE touches. He''s a typical rich little brat. Never worked a day in his life, bailed out from his every failure by his daddy. What a frickin'' wuss, and you support his worthless spoiled a ss!!

To bm6005: You are arguing with your own posts. That is not a very healthy sign.

Only you would think so. I believe in a strong defense, you know talk softly, big stick. Not shoot our mouth off then follow up with nothing. That''s why they laugh at us. Go after the bad guys, not the innocents (Iraqi''s). Smack ''em into eternity but at least get the right ones fool! I guess you have a hard time with that simple logic, eh?

This is the problem and a major cause of didvide in this country. Just once it would be great to here blame go to the Jihadists instead of fellow Americans.
Posted by notblue

Personally I believe in killing every single jihadist as you state. However why do YOU and your kind advocate killing innocent Iraqi''s? 15 of 19 hijackers were Saudi, the rest were from elsewhere (not Iraq). So why does this make me anti-american? Because I want to be accurate in who I kill? I''ve NEVER supported anything that absolves the jihadists''s of their guilt. At the same time did our gov''t policies create the jihadist''s? Did our CIA support/create all sorts of ME dictators? How would you like someone meddling in our gov''t? You think we''re all pure and innocent and we were just merrily on our way when someone, for no reason whatsoever, attacked us. You''re definitely from the heartland, inbred!!

But reasoned words with a person who is so in favor of limited nuclear war is a waste of effort.
Posted by downsteamjim

Wait a minute I thought you were one of the tuff one here. I''m not in favor of a limited nuclear war. Our enemy (the terrorists, member them) don''t have/won''t have nukes. Therefore I don''t consider a one sided attack to be a war. Besides we have many low yield (read low radioactivity) devices. Now I thought you guys were the tuff ones but you just want to rattle your sabres in the schoolyard. Apparently even for the tuff guys America is a paper tiger!! Quite frankly you attempts at insulting me fall way short!

bm6005, thanks for agreeing with me, it''s a first. Glad to know you can use a weapon if neccessary, if your fellow libs have their way we all amy be fighting sooner than we think. Your message bashing Bush and blaming him for all the trouble in the world is typical of blinded libs. Not once in your statement di you blame the Islamic extremists for the problems you feel are unfixable. This is the problem and a major cause of didvide in this country. Just once it would be great to here blame go to the Jihadists instead of fellow Americans.

"Another thing, New Orleans is in a "flood zone", it is againist the FEMA regulations to use government money to rebuild in a flood zone." Posted by AJMarine1 at 04:03 PM : Apr 16, 2008

Hey AJMarine...baby

I actually can''t for the life of me figure out why anyone would have built there anyways. Or for that matter were even ALLOWED to build there in the first place. I realize that they would want to return now because it was their home but do they want to have to go through all this again?
