live near the Lake Michigan shoreline, a place that windpower should be pursued but its not because nobody, again, wants a windmill in THEIR backyard and zoning code prevent it.
And yet with all this people are all behind corn ethanol, a substance that requires more petroleum products to produce its base (corn) than it yields AND for the most part, uses COAL to distill which makes it a greater source of pollution that oil!
This is another stupid lib comment - because it is you that don''t won''t windmills because they kill birds ! What are we suppose to do ? We can''t be pulled by horse or by cows because then you will complain their XXXX is polluting the ground. Well maybe we should hire you fools to pedal energy but then you would complain that the pedaling causes too much carbon in the air ! Now, please explained to me how you libs can be any more dummer !

I agree a trillion dollars a year on foriegn policy (wars) and 1.3 billion a day on foriegn oil is playing into our enemies favor.

I believe the money would be better spent pursuing energy independence and border security the chasing phantom malitias.

Energy independence is a tricky thing ... everyone claims to want alternative energy ....

... as long as its built in someone ELSES backyard.

Ted Kennedy for instance is always ranting about getting away from oil, yet when someone suggested using the huge wind resources in his backyard, boy howdy did he put a stop to THAT!
California has some of the biggest areas of potential wind and tidal energy resources yet they refuse to allow anyone to build, preferring instead to export pollution to the state borders by making building power plants in state too expensive forcing power companies to build just across state lines.

Continuing religious teaching to our children ensures us of future conflict, as it causes us unending cycles of division.

It''''s time we start to UNteach religion, and start teaching the practical, the real, the scientific, and the logical.

Religion warps, taints, complicates and poisons just about everything.
In other words become communism ! How quaint you lib infested schmucks are !

I totally agree with you. In United States though, Christianity is used as a tool to fool the people of United States like no other religion.
Typical schmuck remark by a lib schmuck ! Incredible and actually not surprising. You lib meth-insaned fools are crazy !

I agree for the most part - but I don''''t stop with just christianity. I say it''''s ALL of the major religions - christianity, islam, judaism, hinduism, buddhism - they''''re all equally guilty.

You want world peace? Then figure out how to get rid of religion.

In the tape broadcast on Al-Jazeera, bin Laden said the sufferings of the Palestinians in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip began when treacherous Arab leaders began supporting the US-hosted Mideast peace conference in Annapolis and the "Zionist entity."

The mention of by bin Laden of the Annapolis, Maryland, summit last November was the only time reference given in the audio.

"By their support, they are considered partners to this horrible crime," bin Laden said of Arab leaders who have backed the Mideast peace talks.

"Palestine will not return to us with the negotiations by the submissive rulers, their conferences nor by demonstrations and elections," he said. "Palestine will come back to us if we awaken from our ignorance and adhere to our religion and sacrifice our lives and means to it."

The message was the first time bin Laden spoke of the Palestinian question at length.

Her appeared to be seeking to merge the Palestinian cause into the wider al-Qaida struggle.

"My nation," bin Laden addressed his followers, "You have a great opportunity to regain your freedom and get out of being a follower of this Zionist-crusade alliance and to do this, you have to free yourself from the chains of humiliation thrown on us by the agents of this alliance, the rulers of our countries."

Kill everyone you see.

Extremisms in any religion is dangerous. Look at what the religious right has done to this country. Through out history, religion has been the enabler of DEATH & DESTRUCTION. It is a breeding ground for bigotry and persecution. Whole sale slaughter in the name of GOD. Wake up people there is NO GOD. Just us and we''re all phucking idiots.

2 weeks after 9/11, Osama Bin Laden released a video saying they will bring America down by destroying it economy and not militarily. So far, they are winning.

Obama Hussein, our Democratic Party candidate, would appease this Osama Bin Evil Laden.

Obama Hussein, foolishly thinks he can %u2018domesticate%u2019 Islamic fascists with kindness.

Muslim-influenced/infested Obama, may REALLY be the COLLABORATOR FROM WITHIN TO WEAKEN AND DESTROY AMERICA!

Posted by strangepols at 07:45 PM : Mar 20, 2008

Nobody ever weakened or destroyed America more then those enemies who decided to sacrifise GOD-NEGLECTED AMERICAN MONEY, GOD-NEGLECTED AMERICAN LIVES and UNHOLY LAND UNITED STATES for a NON-AMERICAN CAUSE, NON-AMERICAN GOD-CHOSEN PEOPLE and a NON-AMERICAN HOLY LAND far away from any state or territory of the United States.

If Europeans were not brought into Palestine after WWII to occupy the land of those Palestinians by force who had nothing to do with the actions of Hitler, because Bible said so, Alqaeda would not get enough recruits to fly planes into buildings because Koran said so.

Mother of all the evils is PSYCHOSIS "CHRISTIANITY"!!!

On May 15, 1948, the American President advocated the creation of the State of Israel right in the middle of the Middle-East. 2 years later, 4.5 Millions Palestinians where forced out of their homes and lands.

I am not going to ask if this action was Terrorism. I will say we are paying an incredible price in terms of Treasury and Blood for this unnecessary religious 1948 decision. Also, we continue to pay this huge price due to our unconditionally support for Israel. According to a recent report by CNN, Anti-Semitism is growing around the world and I wonder just why?

It''s fear mongering. Designed to manipulate your decision making, enpower politicians, and impact the economy. Before 9/11 oil was selling at 26 bucks a barrel. Now it''''s over 110. So fear pays. Pays very well actually. And it impacts much more then just oil.

Posted by aeasus at 07:44 PM : Mar 20, 2008

I would be willing to bet that Cheney''s secret energy meetings had much, much more to do with the cost of oil soaring through the roof, than 9/11 did.
