OK, just so we''re clear on that.
The computer that can behead someone? Wow, that Windows Vista has some serious killer bugs that need attention, maybe with a service pack update, we can make it do a "scanners" movie type thing, find all who oppose our traitorous, lying, thieving Coward in Chief, and explode their heads. - Reply to this comment
Hi "brianbwb",
Re: "Do you mean the AQ which is in fact nothing more than a computer database of CIA assets in the Middle East?"
Yes. That''s the one.- Reply to this comment

I find it hard to believe that a computer beheaded anyone, rather some of the members in that database may have, and since they are all CIA assets, it is not unreasonable to arrive at the conclusion that AQ carries out the will of the CIA in that region, and therefore it can be implied reasonably that the CIA actually ordered the decapitations. - Reply to this comment

Re: "Has AQ ever taken and kept any prisoners?"
"I can not remember any. I do remember several captives which AQ later beheaded."
Is this the gage that you use to measure your own behavior?
Slightly better that that of those whom you call "terrorists"

Re: "Oh good question, FeelFree, I''ve been wondering about that myself. They hold them for six years, no charges, make their lives miserable...and then bloooop, they just turn them loose."
Yeah, and this seems to be the case with the vast majority of them.- Reply to this comment

Re: "I cannot believe in americia were having a debate over this wheres the christen right wing they have been silent on this with 0 calls for decent treatment??? Yes evangelicals talk a good game but do nothing I thought they followed chist teachings I have a gut feeling he wouldn''t approve. But thier silent and say nothing."
A few have stood up, but you are right, overall. This is pretty shocking and disappointing.- Reply to this comment

Re: "The power of the Gestapo most open to misuse was called Schutzhaft "protective custody" a euphemism for the power to imprison people without judicial proceedings, typically in concentration camps. The person imprisoned even had to sign his or her own Schutzhaftbefehl, an order declaring that the person had requested imprisonment (ostensibly out of fear of personal harm). Normally this signature was forced by beatings and torture."
"During World War II, the Gestapo was expanded to around 45,000 members."
Sounds pretty familiar.- Reply to this comment

Re: "As a member of the Norwegian Resistance during WWII, my uncle was waterboarded by German and Norwegian Nazis as part of his interrogation. Anyone who thinks that this treatment is not torture should have had the chance of spending a few hours with this man. Though he was kind and considerate to us at all times the effects of his treatments at the hands of these animals was abundantly clear for even a child to see. He had alopecia (full body), he never swam, he would only shower with the door open and with very little water pressure, he woke up at night shaking and sweating, he was nervous at the sight of open water. To the Nazis, he was a terrorist. They needed to know things from him, so I guess it was justified in the eyes of some of you. Just remember when you advocate such techniques that REAL harm is done. It''s no joke."
Thanks for sharing this.
You are right. It is no joke.- Reply to this comment
- Do you REALLY REALLY think the CIA is a person, a bully?
or
is it a collection of US citizens and associates with a heck of a hard job in a country that has a minority that hates their guts since they operate in a world outside of the perfect one imagined." Posted by ilikecats1
Or a Mafia like group of organized international criminals, operating without proper oversight, committing illegal acts against sovereign states, in order to facilitate exploitation of the state''s resources, to those states'' detriment, for their own profit, (as in Iran-Contra, and recently running drugs from Columbia to the US) and for the profit of multinational corporations (Bechtel, Halliburton, Blackwater, Mobil-Exxon, etc). - Reply to this comment

lol, thanks for the treatise.
But when you look at this world thru a mother''s eyes...you learn to see the bigger picture (sorry I know this sounds pompass) than through the predator ego.
What I see right now is a bunch of MEN acting like a bunch of children trying to see who can out bully each other. Not to even include stealing from each other.
Stand back out of yourself, and bring to look at the whole thing from a very far distance.
In the end...when we''ve blown ourselves off the earth...what''s all this bull ***** going to matter? - Reply to this comment

- "Everything I know is it is a legal technique used in a specific set of circumstances," McConnell said." Posted by ilikecats1
If we accept that statement as truth, then McConnell apparently doesn''t know that it has been regarded as torture ever since the Spanish Inquisition, and that US soldiers have been convicted and punished by courts martial, as recently as the Vietnam conflict.
Since he claims not to know this, then he is unqualified to make statements on the issue. - Reply to this comment

- You know, I think the purpose of this article is just the CIA bragging. They are just releasing this information to let it be known that they have and will torture and they will get away with it.
Have you ever seen the bully on the playground that stands there and looks at the weenie kid and says, I am going to rip you limb from limb, I am going to bash your head in with rocks? This is what this smacks of to me. - Reply to this comment
