Thank you sgt for serving our country and especially during the Vietnam era. You soldiers never had the respect you deserved and were completely misunderstood by a majority of the general public. With that said I would also like to point out that there were many hippies who said the same thing about our President then too. In a democracy the majority rules and while up to 49% of the people may have felt cheated and believe that they know better they MUST follow the majority. If there is no following of the majority then there is no democracy. If Bush is *** up the government, which he is most definitely NOT, then his time will end soon enough. However, until that time comes he is in charge and even if one does not acknowledge him as a leader it does not change the fact that he was legally elected by the majority of Americans not once but twice. He is doing something right.

When they really sit down and take the time to think about it, most Americans are. We''re a liberal nation, founded on true liberal ideals of freedom, fairness and real justice and it''s only the far right conservatives who try to confuse us.

I always knew what you were donnne. You''re an American. I don''t always agree with you (esp when you take the blue pill instead of the yellow one) but you''ve always been an American.

It''''s strange how everyone keeps talking like Bush & Cheney will "declare an emergency" and stay in power. If that happened, you''''d see rioting like you wouldn''''t believe. Nobody would obey the government. There''''d be a mass revolt.

There''d be blood flowing in the streets and I hope they realize it. as for me I''ll be proud to load up my Remington shotgun and join the move to overthrow Bush and Cheney and to restore my country to a democracy. My country is worth fighting and dying for. Bush and Cheney are not. They are NOT my leaders.

It makes me sad to see so many America haters on these posts. Everyone is unhappy about something, but why do you have to blame the government?

I love my country. I love my country with such a passion that I volunteered to join the military during it''s last unpopular war (Vietnam( because I felt I didn''t have the right to criticize my government until after I had paid my country back for the privilege of being born here. I do not hate my government or democracy or my country. I hate what this as*shole Bush has done to it. he has declared that MY Constitution is "just a fu*cking piece of paper"! That he, via signing statements and declarations on TV is above the law! He has decided that he is not a president, but rather a KING, that no one can defy! His first attorney general actually tried to get a law passed, with Bush''s enthusiastic support, making it a treasonable offense to criticize the president in any manner during a time of war!

I love my country in a way that would make vets of WWI and WWII blush and that''s exactly why I hate Bush so much! He is everything I served to stop and nothing I served to protect. He is NOT an American and he is NOT MY president! He is traitor to everything our nation stands for he deserves to be in PRISON!!!

SgtRDS said at 2:22AM - "Same thing will happen if Cheney is loony enough to try to put that "special order" into effect declaring Martial Law and a suspension of the election in case of "national emergency". Honestly I hope that Fat Bas***** tries it and that I get the help/witness his lynching. Right next to the moron puppet he controls. It''d serve both little Nazi want to be''s right."
