I was a fanatic...I know their thinking, says former radical Islamist
By blaming the Government for our actions, those who pushed this "Blair''s bombs" line did our propaganda work for us.
More important, they also helped to draw away any critical examination from the real engine of our violence: Islamic theology.

Our Prophet commanded us to fight the kaafirs when we are able and to attack them in their homelands and to give them three choices before we enter their lands: either they become Muslim and be like us, sharing our rights and duties; or they pay the jizyah (poll tax) and feel themselves subdued; or they fight, in which case their wealth, women, children and homes become permissible as booty for the Muslims.

- It sounds to me like Mr. Scheuer is trying to cover for the fact that he did not do his job when employed by the CIA. The left wants desperately to ''lose'' the war to bolster their desire to pursue an ideologically unrealistic ideal of a world where no nations have armies and everyone just ''gets along in peace''. And their ill-formed belief is that the road to this mythical place starts with America disbanding it''s military.
Brilliant. - Reply to this comment

WHY IS IT NOT ONE ISLAMIC COUNTRY GRANTS EQUAL RIGHTS TO NON MUSLIMS?
FASCIST NAZI TERRORISLAM SAYS UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATES ISLAM LAW...
Universal Declaration of Human Rights
http://www.un.org/Overview/rights.html
For example, in 1981, the Iranian representative to the United Nations, Said Rajaie-Khorassani, articulated the position of his country regarding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by saying that the UDHR was "a secular understanding of the Judeo-Christian tradition", which could not be implemented by Muslims without trespassing the Islamic law.

But the accepted assumption in India is that most of India''s Muslims were converted to Islam through the sword. Meaning the Indians were given an option between death or adopting Islam. The third option was getting examined in Islam religion along with heavy taxes- Jeziya (poll tax) and Kharaj (property tax).

- Michael Scheuer spent years tracking al Qaeda as the head of the CIA''s bin Laden unit at a time (1996-1999) when it should have been much easier to capture him. So why didn''t he? If he%u2019d done his job properly when he was with the CIA and captured bin Laden when he was handed to him on a silver platter, there wouldn%u2019t have been a 9/11 attack or the resulting war. But why bother looking back at the lousy job you did, when you know that your liberal politics will secure you a job with CBS as a critic of those left to deal with the mess you left behind? Is it any wonder that bin Laden touts Scheuer in his message? Scheuer is as much a mouthpiece for bin Laden as Adam Gadahn ever was.
Oh, and disabling your Publish Button so everyone has an opportunity to comment makes as much sense as anything else coming from CBS. What a bunch of tripe. - Reply to this comment

- So, one analysis critical of something or someone makes a statement that America is losing against al Quada, and CBS runs to his door, gives him 100k for the story, and we think its true?
No. We think CBS is desparate. We know they harbor traitors to the US Constitution. They print lies and support liars (look at all the fanfare for hillary), they dont deserve our attention. They are not journalists, they are political columnists. Journalists would balance the stories, not create a onesided lie for people to read. - Reply to this comment

Really, you hate the Jews, right? Are you a leftover relic of WWII, a German that stiffled his/her true feelings for years, just to show up on some message board as an anonymouse putz to spread hate propoganda, or are you just a sheeple?
I''d go for the sheeple, you can even copy and paste legit web addresses. The Germans are alot smarter than you are. - Reply to this comment

- Off course they are winning and as long as we allow whining defeatist liberal demycraps to control or at least impede the actions of our government and our military, will will continue to lose, just like we lost Vietnam, Korea and almost WWII, war is hell, it is not and cannot be politically correct, people will die including women and children, especially when our enemy uses them as shields. that is the price that is paid, but now our good demycraps want to do away with one of our most effective weapons, a bill now being finalized will outlaw them, how dumb is this. our enemies have to be really celebrating this latest turn.
I support our president and the tough decisions he has made. It is in the best interest of this country and the future of this country for everyone to do the same.
Otherwise, better bone up on your Koran studies. - Reply to this comment

- I don''t see how you can consider someone winning who is holed up in a remote region and afraid to show his face for fear of being captured. Surviving, yes, and resisting, yes. But winning, no.
I do think that some of the things printed by the mainstream media contribute to this illusion. Freedom of the press should be used responsibly and not as a political weapon that undermines our government. - Reply to this comment
- Anybody stop to wonder WHY shrub didn''t assure that binposladen''s nuts were cut off? Wouldn''t that be pretty much the end to the "war on terror"? My take? Not enough money in the short-term. By getting his revenge on Saddam, he killed 2 birds with 1 stone. Too bad the "stone" was 3700 American lives.

- Bin Laden is winning to some extent. Not being caught is a "big" win at this time. His control and direction to those who are under him is still functioning and that is a "big" win. I agree also that his video message was a ''big" message to the world. It implied clearly that they are engaged in another attack somewhere on a larger scale. If President Bush, other free world leaders, the Press and certain political groups do not know this by now they are really living in a "fog" and we are in big trouble. All oof this stuff has not gone on for all these years without being able to learn from what they say and what they do. Are our leaders really this dumb? If so, we are in deep trouble!

- Remember AIPAC THE ISRAELI LOBBY GROUP CONTROLS KEY POLITICIANS, Israeli Neocon Supporters are pushing America to fight their wars for them!
THE MIDDLE EAST IS NOT IN AMERICAS NATIONAL INTREST! THEY HAVE NOTHING WE NEED!
Founded in 1953 by Isaiah L. "Si" Kenen, AIPAC''''s original name was the American Zionist Committee for Public Affairs. According to UCLA political science professor and author, Steven Spiegel,
"the tension between the Eisenhower administration and Israeli supporters was so acute that there were rumors that the administration would investigate the American Zionist Council. Therefore, an independent lobbying committee was formed, which years later was renamed [AIPAC]."
Today, AIPAC has over 100,000 members.[1]
Activities and stated goals
AIPAC''''s stated purpose is to lobby the Congress of the United States on issues and legislation "to ensure that the U.S.-Israel relationship is strong so that both countries can work together" to meet the challenges of "stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons,
[2] It regularly meets with members of Congress and holds events where it can share its views. It also provides analysis of the voting records of U.S. federal representatives and senators with regard to how they voted on legislation related to Israel.
The New York Times described AIPAC on July 6, 1987 as "a major force in shaping United States policy in the Middle East."

- "Hillary Clinton will be the next U.S. President and Barrack Obama will be her Vice President, people would love to see that! "
Tbweb, where exactly do you hang out? I''m a Democrat myself and I hang out mostly with Democrats, but I''ve not found a *single person* who actually likes Hillary Clinton, let alone wants to vote for her. Rank-and-file Democrats, once they actually get to know her (beyond name recog) do *not* like her, she was a sell-out on the Iraq War among other things.
Plus, Hillary''s now shilling all over the place in favor of outsourcing and increasing the H1 visas to bring in even more foreign scabs to permanently kill off even more jobs for skilled US workers-- much cheaper, those folks from abroad, than US-trained workers who actually have college and other bills to pay. How could Hillary possibly take a stupider than this? She''s considered to be "strategically smart"? She couldn''t find a more surefire way to alienate and infuriate her most essential voters if she tried!
And there''s too much bad blood between Hillary and Obama, they will never be on a ticket with each other-- whether Hillary were nominated, or Obama were nominated, there''s no way they''re occupying the same ticket, the wounds are far too deep. (FWIW, I actually sense now that Edwards may sneak in and get the nomination-- he''s a much savvier campaigner than I ever thought before.) - Reply to this comment
