But President Gives No Withdrawal Timetable As he Makes Surprise Visit To Iraq
- I was wondering why Katie went to Iraq. Lara Logan has been reporting there for a long time. (She''s better looking and reporting) I guess they wanted the top dog to spread George''s lip service.

- does it get any sadder than that?
YES IT DOES?
3,737 AMERICAN TROOPS KILLED IN IRAQ.
THOUSANDS OF AMERICAN TROOPS WOUNDED.
MILLIONS OF IRAQ1''S FORCED TO LEAVE THEIR COUNTRY.
HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF IRAQI''S KILLED.
NO ONE KNOWS HOW MANY IRAQ''S WOUNDED.
THE SADDEST PART OF IT ALL, IS THIS WAR IS AND WILL BE RECORDED IN HISTORY AS THE WORLDS GREATEST MILITARY BLUNDER OF ALL TIME.

- Where''s the beef? The actual numbers of troops to be withdrawn and the date of commencement?
Where is the Iraqi governments "declaration of war" for the 500 plus killed two weeks ago in northern Iraq? Where is the unity of the Iraqis?
What are those withdrawal of troop numbers again? When is this to commence? When those are released these "statements" can be properly evaluated. - Reply to this comment
- 80% of Americans want us to succeed in Iraq. The other 20%, probably flaming liberals including many commenting on this site want the US to fail in Iraq? Does this seem strange? It shouldn''t you see they "hate" our President "more" then the people killing innocent woman and children in Iraq.

- SOUNDS LIKE THE DECIDER HAS DECIDED TO CUT AND RUN.
BUSH SAID ANY PULLOUT WOULD BE MADE FROM A POSITION OF "STRENGTH AND SUCCESS."
THE DECIDER HAS DECLARED THAT IRAQ IS A SUCCESS AND ITS TIME TO CUT AND RUN.
I GUESS THE DEMOCRATS THAT SAID ITS TIME TO PULL OUR TROOPS, WERE WRONG, BUT, NOW THE DECIEDER SAYS ITS OK...........................ALL IS BETTER NOW.

- The chances of a terrorist attack on the United States are slim to none, the terrorist know any attack on the U.S. only helps the Bush agenda and Republicans. With 73% of Americans against the Iraq War and President Bush ignoring the Voters request to end the Iraq occupation in the 2006 Election cycle, the Republicans will be absolutely crushed in the 2008 Elections, the only question is if good Republicans will pay as well. At this point Americans wouldn''t care if Iraq turned into Disneyland, the Pres. Bush and the Republicans will pay dearly for ignoring the American people. Only after the 2008 Election slaughter will Pres. Bush know without any doubt the full extent of America''s anger with this Iraq War and his stubbornness going his own way.

- Well, he''s told Petraeus and the ambassador what to say in the future. I''m surprised the troops didn''t frag the worthless wanker. Worked in Nam.

- Before Bush leaves Iraq, he should spend time in different cities and explain to the Iraqi people why Iraq is much better now without Saddam Hussein.
I still would like to know what exactly it was that Saddam did to the US. Maybe he could tackle that one also. - Reply to this comment
- Is there anyone less credible on Iraq than Bush? The only cutbacks he envisions are the ones he has no choice over because the military is totally maxed out. CBS, please don''t treat your readers like complete idiots. Thank you.

Wow what a visionary--everybody else had this idea about two years ago. Guess he thinks if he says the right words to jump on the bandwagon people might let him be in charge again. Nah.

HA! Since he is there, maybe he could do a few weeks of Baghdad patrol. Since it is so much better and really safe now (according to him) :) - Reply to this comment
