A New Push For Change In The War On Terror

I am a big advocate of liberalism..I was as avid and vocal about it when i was younger however what I see now is the miuse of it. Liberalism holds a pretty secured future as long as you guys direct that energy the right way..be smart..be 5 steps ahead when you think. - Reply to this comment
- XZAVIERBROWN,,, Always be on guard about possibilities of fascism in our government,,, Fortunatly we have term limits.
However there is continued efforts towards corrupting our voting process, & poison neo-nazi political attacks ongoing.... It can happen here as it did in Gemrany & other counries as in George Soro''s Hungary --
-- We are warned, we just have to pay more attention.... Liberals are constantly being attacked for voicing out against bad government,, identical attacks happened in Nazi Germany. - Reply to this comment
- you cannot have compassion and eat your cake at the same time.. what do I mean by that?? you want this country to leave that region and abandon our oil interest because we are being inhumane (which i really doubt, the last thing we need there is static, we pound them with so much money that shieks are buying solid gold audis, its just that the wealth is distributed the wrong way) BUT at the same time, we would want gasoline everytime we need gasoline..and at a nice decent price at that.
we either leave and suffer with gas shortage
or we stay, level out the playing fields and have gas ready when you or I want to drive the family to a nice drive down by the beach. - Reply to this comment

- this fear of facist control in this country WILL NEVER HAPPEN..there are way to many checks and balances. There are way too many people who try to police the govt or any current adminsitration. there are changes in policies and adminsitration every 4 or 8 years that not one solid footprint can be established. We have the republicans controlling 3 branches of the govt. but lost control because we have people who police this..if they are not satisfied it is done for..over. so you are investing on conspriacy that can be easliy proven incorrect. Time to move forward and get this situation in middle east out of the way.

- xzavierbrown,,, You made a good point about not learning from our failures.... Korea, Veit Nam, & now Iraq with it''''s lack of progress militarily & politically are great examples of many failures including spinning intel & failure to win the "hearts & minds of the people"

I believe the correct spelling would be "homophobic accusations" - I''m not going to try to decipher the rest.
I''d like to see where you got the homophobic accusations from too. You know what, j-whitman, I am jealous because you hear the voices and I don''t.
BTW, teath, thier, and batles are spelled teeth, their, battles - respectively.
You have a good day now, ya''hear.

- Earlier today, the United States carried out simultaneous strikes against terrorist facilities and infrastructure in Afghanistan. Our forces targeted one of the most active terrorist bases in the world. It contained key elements of the bin Laden network''s infrastructure and has served as a training camp for literally thousands of terrorists from around the globe.
We have reason to believe that a gathering of key terrorist leaders was to take place there today, thus underscoring the urgency of our actions.......
Our forces also attacked .....associated with the bin Laden network. The factory was involved in the production of materials for chemical weapons.
The United States ... Afghanistan and Sudan have been warned for years to stop harboring and supporting these terrorist groups.
But countries that persistently host terrorists have no right ...me express my pride in our armed forces, who carried out this mission while making every possible effort to minimize the loss of innocent lives.
My fellow Americans, our battle against terrorism did not begin with the bombing of our embassies in Africa, nor will it end with today''s strike.

It was Tenet and Bush in the summer of 2001 that did not protect us, Tenet trying to blame it on the Girl Condi what a loser. Tenet and Bush all strut and swagger no substance........they failed America - Reply to this comment
- speakingup,,,,, Stop diverting conversation from the article....... Review your history,, The GOP has always attacked the CIA since it''s conception for failures to create the intell they needed to drive thier policies.
Bush lies through his teath & purposly fails to tell the rest of the story that -
-- The then Director of CIA (Bush''s appointement to now CIA Director) turf batles, created the situation of the NSA witholding Vital Communications from the very agency who''s duty it was to track Al Queda - Reply to this comment

- I am sure that the real intent for this repost is not for you morons to argue about who caused it or what if''s, it is to be used so we can learn from where we failed before and move forward from that..LORD!! a terrorist will catch you guys on the floor trying to kill each other..it makes it easier for a terrorist to kill us..

- So, j-whitman, please do explain to me how you came to accuse me of calling Ronald Regan a liar.
I think this is really germain to proving your inability about keeping things straight.
I''m not trying to rub salt into any wounds, I just want you to understand two things. Make sure of your facts before you go saying things about people, and don''t go around picking fights unless you can take the punches.
Fact of the matter is - I was real civil with you, trying to engage you in conversation, displaying nothing but respect, and you decided to be a jerk about it. If you mistake being respectful for weak, you are going to pay the price.

- Pretty much completely off topic here but I''ve noticed an interesting trend on these comment spaces. Everyone is Dems are bad, Reps are bad, Bush bad, Clinton bad, very partisan. Unitl...someone from one side concedes a point after that it seems as if the other side becomes a lot more rational and both sides can find points to agree on. Might this be a blueprint for negotiation, yes it is!!!! Wouldn''t it be nice if our legislators could actually see how this works.
