If they don't know, don't tell them. They must respect executive privilege. I'm coming from the school of don't ask, don't tell on this one. - Reply to this comment

- toldyouso21,
Afghanistan is not a failure. The Taliban is resurgent but is still a shell of its former self and is still out of power. The much bally-hooed spring offensive never materialized.
Moderate Pakastanis would hate us if we tried to occupy their country, I don't think anyone is advocating that.
Pakastan isn't becoming unstable because of the power of extremists, although they have considerable influence. It's becoming unstable because the secular moderates/middle class are fed up with Mushariff's military dictatorship.
Acting on Pakastan is risky because nobody can be sure who will be in power once the dust settles. It might be an extremist or a pro-American general or someone like Bhutto might come out of exile and restore democracy and friendship with America(likely a pipedream).
The risk involved in inaction is that Al Quaeda has the training base for training an ever expanding cadre of Jihadists and exporting terrorism around the globe.
As far as the nukes are concerned, we don't know what faction controls them now. Whoever does will likely continue to do so after Musharif falls, which appears inevitable. - Reply to this comment

- radio,,, I didn't say use US police, we have shortages of them in America & they are under funded.
It is still a police action & not a military one.. You can't keep bombing civilians you are trying to rescue.

The police like the military in Pakistan and Afghanistan are known to be corrupt, also they are limited in strength by their size. Who are we or the Pakistanis trying to rescue in these lawless provinces? The taliban, Al Queda or the villagers who are harboring them? This is like Cambodia in Nam, do not cross the invisible line despite the fact the enemy is using it as a base of operations. Only limited ops can be used as we do not have the blessing of the Pakistani government which provided the safe haven for the extremist. If we carpet bomb them we will create more enemies, if we let Musharaff take care of it like he has we will have more enemies, if we launch a full scale invasion we create more enemies. Let special ops take care of this with drones. - Reply to this comment

In Turkey non Muslims are listed as Foreigners

NONE OF US IS FREE UNLESS ALL ARE FREE!!!
WHY IS IT NOT ONE MUSLIM COUNTRY GRANTS EQUAL RIGHTS TO NON MUSLIMS???
FASCIST NAZI TERRORISLAM SAYS UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATES ISLAM LAW...
Universal Declaration of Human Rights
http://www.un.org/Overview/rights.html
For example, in 1981, the Iranian representative to the United Nations, Said Rajaie-Khorassani, articulated the position of his country regarding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by saying that the UDHR was "a secular understanding of the Judeo-Christian tradition", which could not be implemented by Muslims without trespassing the Islamic law.
But the accepted assumption in India is that most of India's Muslims were converted to Islam through the sword. Meaning the Indians were given an option between death or adopting Islam. The third option was getting examined in Islam religion along with heavy taxes- Jeziya (poll tax) and Kharaj (property tax).
