- Ok so let's say this is true.
"Al Qaeda is "considerably operationally stronger than a year ago" and has "regrouped to an extent not seen since 2001."
Does that then mean that Bush and his entire administration has failed us and this nation?
Does this mean he has not done his job?
If the answer is yes, then he should be fired!!!
Congress, it is high time to start impeachment procedings against this entire administration just like Bush and Gonzo did to the AG's.
It is crystal clear at this point.
Do something!!! - Reply to this comment
- The findings suggest the network that launched the most devastating terror attack on U.S. soil ...
I thought all the networks were involved... hee hee ha ha ho ho... I'm too funny!
BTW: Where is the Al Qaeda Channel? Is it fair and balanced? Do I need some special box to get it?
I guess the show must go on, huh? And why did Chertoff shave? Is he figuring no one will recognise him as the idiot of Katrina? - Reply to this comment
- And without a doubt hurricane season will soon be upon us. Does Chertoff have any kind of gut feeling about that?

- Earlier this week, the Senator from Tel Aviv, Joe Lieberman, testified before Congress that we have Al Qaeda "on the run". He puts himself forth as an independent. That's right, totally independent from the American people and from reality.

- bush sure dropped the ball when he decided to to forget about al Qaeda to start HIS war in Iraq! Now they not only have Afghanistan and Pakistan they also have Iraq!
Maybe chimp would like to start another war somewhere and give them that to. Then Chertoff can really try to scare us into falling into line!
bush and al qaeda have the same agenda, to scare the American people! How can they be in denial about being on the same side! - Reply to this comment

Bin Laden was located by British signals intelligence experts in a series of caves at Tora Bora in the White Mountains, 25 miles southwest of Jalalabad; but the assault on the caves was badly botched. Allied commanders on the ground wanted a sizeable number of conventional forces deployed to block any attempt by Al Qaeda fighters to flee across the border into Pakistan. But the US generals feared this might produce many more casualties and the risk aversion mentality won the day. Bin Laden himself, who was heard speaking personally to one of his lieutenants in an intercepted message, slipped through the disjointed allied lines into Pakistan in the second week of December. He could have been stopped. A combined force of SAS and SBS commandos tracked him down and was just twenty minutes behind him, but they were pulled off to allow US troops to go in for the kill. It took several hours for the Americans to get there, by which time he had escaped. - Reply to this comment

- If I was one for conspiracy theories I would question Americas drive for capturing bin laden its been a long time and still no results, why doesn%u2019t the USA military just invade this area of Pakistan temporary and take them all out ? Did you know bin laden was in the gun sights of British commandos but they where not allowed to take him out in Afghanistan as the American commanders wanted him to be taken by one of their own - they did not want the Brits to steal their thunder so told them to stand down and not shoot him.

- Bush's numbers are way down and the American people want him to pull troops out of Iraq by early 2008! Chertoff has to do something our boy wonder. So now we have Chertoff trying to whip up more fear in the American public with terror attacks again! It's so transparent as to be unbelievable. Can't this bunch come up with some new tactic to frighten American's half out of their witts????

Bush needs more than smacked around, the point is that a deep cynicism has resulted from all of his misadventures and homeland securitys "gut" feeling along with other intel that has proved to be worthless. This cynicism created by the adminstration is damaging not only our trust in the government but also our security at home. If we can no longer place a iota of belief in what comes out of the governments mouth when a real threat is confronting us will we in our cynicism not recognize or accept it as being real. Therein lies the problem, the total breakdown of trust of the government itself created by not only Bush but all that went along with it. A degree of skeptism should always be in the publics mind, we have long gone past a degree of skeptism to full skeptism. Something else to thank this admin. for. - Reply to this comment
- Thanks Mr. President. You swallowed Al Qaeda's bait, invaded Iraq, and solidified Al Qaeda's rage for decades to come.
I keep reading this idiotic neocon posts about the liberals or Dems being Al Qaeda's best friend.
But nobody helped Al Qaeda more than their best recruiter, George W. Bush Jr. and his oil buddies. - Reply to this comment
- They don't know where and they don't know when, but we should all be very very afraid. God help us all.

- Like in Vietnam, the only way to win this is by simply ramping up the killing and turning into near Nazis. In 'Nam we killed massive amounts of people and it still wasn't enough. It's sad but we're just wasting time and money unless we start killing way way more people, practically exterminating half the country. As we do this, of course, we turn the rest of the Iraqis against us with our methods. Like in 'Nam for every one we kill we turn 2 more against us. It's a vicious cycle.

- Fancy that...'al CIA-da' rebuilding...along the border region of our ally Pakistan and our puppet, Afghanistan...precisely the area to which Osama and his mechanized calvacade were allowed to flee, unmolested by US air power...precisely the region to which we air evacuated many of their Arab fighters after the initial collapse of the Taliban regime...
It's a good time to remember what ISI General was breakfasting in Washington while the Chimp was learning about goats with his intellectual peers in a Florida elementary school...a good time to remember which ISI general wired $100,000 to the head of the 9-11 patsies, Mohammed Atta...a good time to remember how many of the FBI-named hijackers came through a CIA visa mill in Saudi Arabia...a good time to remember that many of these still-named 'al Qaeda' are still alive and well...
Its also a good time to remember that Chertoff and the other goblins in the Washington Regime need more Western blood to win the support of the stupid and the gullible to fight and finance the Stupid People's War.
What will it be? An American 'Beslan'?...a flour and H202 volcano?...a dirty bomb with materials stolen by American clean-up contractors from the Russians? - Reply to this comment
- One of the dangers created by Homeland Security and the White House is that after so much false intelligence was used in the build up for the war in Iraq and subsequently the "terror alerts" is that Americans have grown very cynical of anything coming out of either the White House or Homeland Security. Chertoffs comments about a "gut" feeling do not help this cynicism. It only fuels it, the boy that cried wolf too many times could have similiar results.
