"The grievances that terrorists have with you is that they don't want you to be alive"

When Cons argue for the war in Iraq, they just say look at what the enemy is saying. They tell us that the enemy considers Iraq the central front in the war. Then, they conveniently avoid looking at what that same enemy said when listing reasons for attacking us. Our one-sided approach to the Israel/Palestine situation is the major reason. But, let's ignore the enemy's statements when it's not convenient and pay attention to them when it is.

Re: "Several responses to the posting by other forum members expressed hope that an attack against London would be realized in the near future."

So they know the website, they know the name that this alleged 'terrorist' posts under...making threats like this over the Internet is a crime. Why have they not arrested this alleged 'terrorist'? There are literally millions of closed circuit video cameras in London. Where is the video of this alleged perpetrator parking the car, and exiting the vehicle?

Re: "Intelligence sources who spoke to CBS News Friday morning seemed to express surprise at the discovery of the device, suggesting there had been "no warning, no intel, no smell" as a prelude to the plot %u2014 a vacuum of information which reportedly had Britain's domestic intelligence agency "very, very worried".

This might be the dumbest part of this whole idiotic story. Do I have this straight? An announcement beforehand of the 'attack', on an open Internet site was not enough to tip these unnamed 'intelligence' morons off, but the supposed lack of any threat scares the hell out of them?

jasonjaon,,, This is a good time to pay attention to what's going on,,, All the troops are in place, watch what happens -- We have to give it untill September.

However, you can't ignore the lack of training of Iraq's troops, many still fail to show up, nor can you ignore the total lack of logistics.

Even if this Surge should work it doesn't secure Baghdad, another 300,000 American troops would be needed --- In the meantime, insurgents have fled to other areas,, back to Wackamo.

"Those who recognize the threat and are willing to do something about it will keep it from being your family and you can sit on your fat *** and downplay the hard work they're doing."

Gee, I wonder what you're doing. Nothing?

Knowledge of your enemies motivation and tactics is what any former member of the armed services is taught. What did you do in the navy, mob?

I will see the movie 'Jesus Camp' but until then, find me the instances in the news where Christians conduct themselves like the islamists? Show me the threats, the attacks. Show me the killing.

rdnearthezoo: "What exactly does the Israeli/Palestinian territory have to do with sub-Saharan Africa and sourthern Thailand?" What does it have to do with the U.S.? Its a lightning rod issue, much more for them than for us since its near the heart of their religion. Hatred of the 'international jew' isn't just for southern baptists, southern muslims eat that propaganda (much of which was produced by Henry Ford) up.

The point I repeated regarding Thailand and Somolia was a response to an earlier point. You appear to have missed this. But in a way you helped me make my point. You can probably count on one hand the number of Jews in southern (if not all) Thailand. Likewise in Somolia. But there are an awful lot of non-Muslims.

So repeat my point, resolving (whatever that means) the problems between the Israelis and Palestinians is not going to make these things go away. Wherever you find "radical" Islam in sufficient numbers you will find this same thing happening. Period. And no amount of appeasement will make it any different.

"You go on with your life and you slowly eliminate the grievances that terrorists have with you."

The grievances that terrorists have with you is that they don't want you to be alive.

Any little thing that you do that they don't like, you see them take to the streets yelling "Death to America," and they start killing and destroying.

I wish we could withdrawal from the rest of the world and leave them to drown in their oil and anytime a disaster happened, man made or by nature, the world could go to the Muslim countries and let them fix things,

Furthermore, my question still stands. What exactly does the Israeli/Palestinian territory have to do with sub-Saharan Africa and sourthern Thailand?

You are correct. Virtually every hotspot in the world involves Muslims. Their goal is far greater than driving Israel into the sea. If that were the case, Muslims would not be creating problems in areas not related to Israel. Perhaps, the answer is in world domination. This is why it is important to find ways to stop them. Yes, this may sound like a call for another Crusades. Why else would Europeans go to war with the Arabs a thousand years ago? It certainly wasn't for oil a thousand years ago. Apparently, Muslim goals have not changed in a thousand years.

IT IS TIME TO DEFEAT FASCIST NAZI ISLAM ONCE AND FOR ALL%u2026

In 1786, Thomas Jefferson, then U.S. ambassador to France, and John Adams, then American Ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the Dey%u2019s ambassador to Britain, in an attempt to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress%u2019 vote of funding. To Congress, these two future presidents later reported the reasons for the Muslims%u2019 hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.

%u2026that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.

Sound familiar?

Thomas Jefferson and James Madison defeated the fascist nazi muslims 200 years ago
And again 100 years ago with Theodore Roosevelt
Tunisia in 1881 by France and Libya in 1911 by Italy. By then most of the Islamic world was under Christian domination. With the Ottoman Empire defeated in WW1, secularist Turkish rebels in 1923 overthrew the last Islamic Caliphate,
