"isnt the right to bear arms a constitutional right??liberals wants to take my right to bear arms...isnt that liberals wiping thier agenda's arse with the constitution?? Posted by xzavierbrown at 10:01 PM : Jun 11, 2007"

Well, I'd say we have a VERY well-regulated militia, wouldn't you. It not only has arms, it has nuclear arms. Indeed, its so big neocon Nazi's keep hijacking its defense mission to engage in empire building on the other side of the world. And against that juggernaut your pop gun is going to do WHAT? Time to poke your head out of the 18th century.

Those Judges should read the Constitution. It gives two exceptions to the Right of Habeas Corpus. Rebellion and invasion. If an American going over to Al Queda doesn't fit one of those circumstances, what on earth does?

"One of the most conservative courts in the U.S. got it right...If [the gitmo inmates] are found guilty then punish them. But do not throw away the Constitution in the process. It is what makes our system and our country shine."Posted by DefndLiberty at 08:46 PM : Jun 11, 2007

Well put. Sadly, restaffing the judicial branch of government with Christian Conservatives with little respect for our laws is the Bush administrations primary purpose(witness the news today about Gonzales). I hope we can wait him out, but I'm not optimistic. By not sending the proper signal to Bush today, Congress has emboldened his 'regime change' of the Justice Dept.

Gosh, just imagine, a federal court upholding the constitution. According to the Bush apologists, upholding our constitution is equal to treason. Well in that case, thank God for treasonist judges!

Oh yeah, and Republicanazis always leave a mess behind that needs to be cleaned up by others because they are incapable of getting things right the first time.

Really? The way I see it, it's the Republicanazis that start sputtering and talking in analogies, making no sense and then constantly referring to God (as if he can help them).

But then, they cut and run - just like you've done.

Republicanazis - the true cowards.

Bush's arguement reminds me of an incident in Viet Nam when the US troops were burning a village--the officer said it had been taken over by the VC and so in order to save the village it became necessary to destroy it..

If you revoke the constititution and the bill of rights, if you give up all that we supposedly stand for--why bother. Have any of the people who support the enemy combatant thing ever heard of habeas corpus ??

What is to stop the next chief executive from declaring that anyone who disagrees with him is 'an enemy of the state'. Then take them all into custody and hold them without trial. Are you so stupid and afraid that you give up your rights so easily ???

I don't know who is scarier the idiot in chief or the people who follow him !!!!

DefndLiberty - I hope you feel better soon. Actually, I was hoping you were smart enough to realize that we couldn't vote for the President again. There by implying it would have to be a power-grab in order for him to stay in power %u2013 something not likely to happen. Yup %u2013 hope you feel better soon.

mcdazz and sjc_1 - don't hold back - tell us how you really feel.

UnderMyBoot - appropriate pen-name for this person's persona. Too bad he can't answer the FOX debate with anything other childish remarks.

Cohen added that the ruling doesn't mean the suspect will be freed.

Then what the hell's all the fuss about then? Bush still gets his way.

You could teach us all a thing about being lost, singingrick.

You found god yet? Or are you still spreading hatred and lies?

Right wing Republicanazis are contributing to the downfall of this country.

You take away our freedoms, try and re-write the constitution, lie to the citizens and do it all under the guise of "freedom" and "protection".

You Republicanazis are destroying this country.

This is not about who the terrorists are, its about who we are. The president says he supports democracy, and then ignores one of its founding principles: habeus corpus. There's no reason for that at this point.

Gee singinrick,

It looks like this guy is still in custody except that he gets to use the constitutional rights he has as an American. If you are against this, you are against everything America stands for.
