And slaughtering a few thousand Americans was a good way to get us into a war, too.

Small detail - Iraq had NOTHNG to do with 9/11.

I realize facts and the truth aren't too popular with the Bush supporters, but with some people they still have some value.

A part of the selling process comes the step of favourably conditioning the market. By invading countries in the Middle-East; a land fertile with resourceful people, Walking-Liar sets the ground for great success in selling the Arabs' (established regimes) the weapons we 'exsell' in manufacturing.

This is definately an area where the Bush administration has failed. They failed to anticipate the turmoil brought on after the fall of Saddam, and the incursion of Iran in the equation.

If we put 500,000 troops over there and got control of the situation by whatever means, it could negate the above failure. But I don't believe they have the stomach to do that.

And is anyone surprised? If you want to create terrorism, slaughtering a few hundred thousand Arabs who never attacked anyone is a good way to do it.

*** you, George Bush, you bloodthirsty war profiteer. Bring on the day that you and your barbarous crew are put against the wall like the traitors and mass murderers you are.

And slaughtering a few thousand Americans was a good way to get us into a war, too. It has been their intention all along to come westward with their 300 year old wish to conquer. If you were constipated it would be Bush's fault.

Good luck spinning this one, Bush administration. I've no doubt you'll try and portray monumental failure as a stunning success.

How anyone in the White House sleeps at night amazes me. I can only wonder what living without a soul or conscience is like.

If the "WAR ON TERROR" works as good as the "WAR ON DRUGS", we are in some big trouble.
Always remember, terrorists and other homicidal maniacs prefer UNARMED VICTIMS.

That war in Iraq has really made the world safer. Not.

Given the Bush administration's track record for issuing deceptive and outright false public statements as well as the media's penchant for stenography, it's not surprising that any "report" issued by the State Department with regard to the so-called "war on terror" is immediately greeted with skepticism by most.

While this article focuses quite narrowly on what the State Department claims, it offers no trace of independent efforts to fact-check or to put these claims in a wider, factual context, a consistent failure at CBS as well as other MSM outlets.

Missing, for example, is the fact that the European Union just released its own summary of terrorist activity that found that out of 498 terrorist incidents in the EU in 2006, only one could be traced to Islamist terrorists.

Precisely, Space_Poet. Actually, even Orwell never foresaw the kind of evil genius that could create an enemy who could be just anybody, depending upon who annoyed you that day. When your "enemy" is an ideology, not a nation, it's the dictators daydream - you can dispose of anyone just by pointing at him and saying "terrorist" and justify anything with the same line of lies.

Bear in mind, though, that if the "29 percenters" (great phrase) have ever heard the name Orwell at all, they think he was that guy who made "Citizen Kane" and would sell no wine before its time ...

Ignorance is the best friend of fascism.

War is peace. Black is white. Ignorance is strength.

Mission Accomplished! Create many more people that hate our guts, fund anti-terror groups that come back on us, and start wars with no end in sight, ever, this Orwellian nightmare has got to stop.

I'm sure the 29 percenters will come here and tell us this is why we need to increase our efforts to fight global terrorism and we are all just a bunch of pansies who don't understand that we have to break a few eggs to make an omelet, and that it's all Clintons fault. yay.
