Former Australian Kangaroo Skinner Is Suspected Of Aiding Taliban In Afghanistan
- To lars008: You said: they should all be shot as spies..... under the geneva convention if you are not in uniform and are an enemy combatant, you can be shot as a spy......
So tell me lars, what does an Afgan military uniform look like? I've met a few of the Afgan fighters that stood up to the Russians, you know, the ones we supported and provided munitions too, and they all wore traditional Afgan garb. Who are we to say what they should wear inside their own country? As far as Hicks, unless they can prove he fired a shot at an American soldier, or plotted and aided those that caused 9-11, I don't care where he lives or who he associates with. That is part and parcel of being free. - Reply to this comment

- They should just march them out to sea after a good splashing of fish oil and get this all over with.

As an Australian, I agree he should be charged, my only complaint is that the system pussyfooted around for far to long before the charges were laid.
This does not mean to say that I agree in any way with either America's or our involvement in Iraq, this person was captured in Afghanistan not Iraq, that is where terrorism is based, but Iraq does have a lot of oil, and some very high persons in the U.S. administration are doing very well, thank you, out of this invasion of Iraq. So those persons should also be charged with terrorist activities.
Back to the subject, he was caught redhanded in Afghanistan, assisting the Taliban, an undisputable point.
We out here have been for some time, listening to the bleeding heart civil libertarians [criminal protectors in some cases] who have been trying their hardest to drum up sympathy for him, I say let the forces of justice take their course, as long as that is fair justice, admittedly America's record with for example Abu Gharad [hope spelling correct] is a bit of a worry, not a lot of justice there. - Reply to this comment
