I suspect by your comments that you have no military training. We teach our personnel that, if captured, they are to make life as difficult as possible for their captors. It's all part of war, but not justification for torture.

Of course it's wrong to abuse a prisoner in any fashion, but given the circumstances, I can't say I could peacfully deal with those people either.
