My parents were immigrants to this country (the U.S.) in the early 1900's. Both naturalized and very proud to be American, they flew the flag every day and stood up for everything American.
I, born here and a four year veteran, do not take affronts to this country easily.
The immigrants of the 1900's and the immigrants of today are as different as night and day. Ask any American over sixty years old that grew up in a large city full of immigrants.
The world has changed and apparently, not for the better. I apologize to succeeding generations for the mess in the world that we leave them.
