The science deniers show us all just how ignorant and misled they are. Frankly I don't know how they stand to look like such fools. These are like the flat earthers of Galileo's time. I guess Corporate money can pretty much buy anything know even your brain.

When people declare certain scientific beliefs as facts the thought process has stopped for them. People who question these "facts" are still thinking and someday you will be pleased they were around to keep US from making long term mistakes.

I think that humans being the smartest creatures on earth is also just a theory. See ray above.

3.4 mm sea level rise in 20 years is MASSIVE. I think of rates in sedimentation basins that are measured in centimeters per thousand years as one example. Or movements on major faults like the San Andrea that are on the order of fractions of mm per year.

That sea level rate change is unbelievably fast considering the normal seal level changes that occur in geologic time (thousands to millions of years). And the RATE is accelerating because we are actually adding more carbon dioxide every year than the one before.

We are generally too poorly evolved (I actually think we may have DEVOLVED) to really understand our own actions. Maybe we just have to find out everything the hard way.

many other nations are not America......why do you have this burning desire to make us like all the other failed countries around the globe.....we are unique, one of a kind, so stop attempting to form us into something we aren't.

Your arrogance is stunning. Maybe we are so good that the effects of global climate change will only affect other nations. I know that people who believe in the false America exceptionalism think we are entitled to waste energy and exploit other people around the world.

You epitomize everything that is wrong with America and has turned us into a third world country with millions of uneducated, igonorant Sheeple living in a fantasy land.

This is not a government vs. industry issue. Man made global climate change is a fact, the only part that is being debated is how severe the effects will be. No one can "see" that because it hasn't happened yet. So all we can do is predict based on the data and scientific models. That is the theory part of it (gravity is a theory as well).

Many other nations who don't have a Corporation run party like the Republicons are spending billions in preparation. Many American cities where there are progressives who listen to scientists are also doing major planning for the inevitable sea level rise.

You can tell someone's scientifically illiterate when all they do is yammer about "Al Gore, Al Gore, Al Gore!" He's just one guy who decided to publicize the issue, and isn't even a scientist.

Exactly.

It's easier for them to attack Al Gore (not a scientist), than it is to attack 99% of ALL SCIENTISTS in the world today that are studying the issue.

They have to keep trying to vilify him Trout - especially after he won the 2000 presidential election.

0.6 deg C over a hundred years that will be some challenge LOL The latest says the sea levels will rise a whole 5-10 inches by the end of the century. That's going to be catastrophic to deal with.......... not LOL.

5 - 10 inches based on current temperatures - not accounting for the rising temperatures that we've seen happening for years now.

Exactly. The 5 - 10 inch prediction is ONLY if the temps stop rising today, which of course they are not - they are STILL RISING.

Countries like Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Thailand will see hundreds of yards - even miles - of shoreline deluged by the seawater encroaching inward, but it won't affect louiville so it's all good with him.

What if Al Gore is wrong? Suppose we adopt sustainable lifestyles... Achieve energy independence... Clean up the environment... and become good stewards of the planet... AND IT ALL TURNS OUT TO BE FOR NOTHING!!! http://www.veganvideo.org

Climate change global warming is a gigantic global scam for money, regulation, and control. Global climate is always changing and man has never been able to accurately predict the future. If you have faith in palm readers, astrology, and prayers to mother earth at Stone Henge; then join the climate change chaos church. Like most MAD religions, they constantly berate & belittle non belivers. The great thing is, it's still a free country (so far) and we don't have to join the Climate Mad science church. I will happily and freely make my carbon foot prints just as large as I possibly can.

Just another Dittohead drone, repeating the droning of other Dittoheads. Let's hope there's legal cause to sue you people as AGW worsens, knowing that you helped stall action.

Stop using the word "deniers". What we have is Climate Alarmists who make all sorts of wild claims that get debunked by the Climate Realists. Nearly every single claim made by the Alarmists has been shown to have no merit whatsoever.

Remember those ozone hole "alarmists?" Had mouth-breathing right-wingers been in charge, CFCs would still be rolling right along, doing far more damage. You people are essentially criminals.
