The New Republic: We Must Confront The Fact That Race Is Not The Only Reason Obama Could Lose
- One thing left out in all the campaign analyses I have seen is that Hispanic/Latinos are the largest minority in the US. If the Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans and Pacific Islanders are all added in this group would be quite a bit bigger. These groups all belong to the Mongolian or yellow race. From working in the different neighborhoods I have noticed that these groups are not fond of blacks. I have a black helper with me most of the time and he has complained of Indians or Orientals bad attitude toward him. He himself is particularly not fond of Hispanics. He and I go way back and I am very familiar with his ideas on most things. The other minority groups are less likely to vote for Obama than whites.

- erroosevelt08-yea, he''ll have raines running fannie again, he''ll have ayers in charge of education for the state. He''ll have wright in charge of religion (if we can still have religion). And, he''ll have soros in charge of heck, everything.

- Are you kidding me?? Of course the cry of "racism" will be all over the place.
See, we''re supposed to vote for him because he''s half black and for no other reason. If you are conservative you are still supposed to vote for him ignoring the fact that he is a flaming socialist. That''s how it''s has to work.
However, some of us aren''t burdened with "white man''s guilt". - Reply to this comment

- If Obama loses, America''s final chance of redemption esp. in the eyes of the world would have finally been buried. The world world then shift their respect to China, France, Russia, and others. But I know Americans are wise people, infact smart. They are not all racists.

- Fact is , Obama WILL WIN this election. The writing is on the wall. The peple will speak on the 4th of November and then McCain and Palin can go on with their lives while Obama and Biden get this great country back on track after the GOP has driven it into the ground.

- WHY DOES THE MEDIA, AND THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN ALWAYS CLAIM THAT ANYONE WHO DOESN''T VOTE FOR OBAMA, ARE RACIST? THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN HAS ACCUSED THE CLINTON''S OF BEING RACIST. BUT, NOW THE CLINTON''S ARE NOT RACIST BECAUSE THEY ARE CAMPAIGNING FOR OBAMA. HMMMMMM, IMAGINE THAT.
OBAMA HAS SO MANY QUESTIONABLE TIES TO PEOPLE LIKE THE CONVICTED TONY REZKO, "BILL THE BOMBER" AYERS, WRIGHT, PHLEGER, FARRAGHAN, ACORN, THE LIST GOES ON.
SPEAKING OF "THE BOMBER AYERS", NOT MAKING THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA NEWS, THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA LINCOLN, HAS CANCELED A SPEECH BY AYERS, CLAIMING IT WAS BECAUSE OF SECURITY ISSUES. THE GOVERNOR OF NEBRASKA, HINEMAN, SAID THAT AYERS IS A WELL KNOWN RADICAL WHO SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN INVITED.
THIS IS AN EXAMPLE WHY MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT JUMPING ON THE OBAMA CHANGE GANG. IT IS SIMPLY THE WRONG KING OF CHANGE FOR AMERICA.

- I think President Obama will prove to be a careful, thoughtful president who knows enough to gather the best and brightest in his midst who will speak truth to power. He is very smart and able to think on several levels at the same time. He reminds me of Bill Clinton in that way. The international community would have to throw away a lot of their steotyed views of us, the citizens of the United States. Let us go forth and grow all we can from the bottom up so more people in this country have a better life of peace and prosperity. Somebody has to start fixing the mess we are in.

- Wow.. Could you make your article more difficult to comprehend with more references and articulation that makes no sense? The fact is, if you had anything CLEAR to say, you would express it in a way that didn''''t celebrate your vocabulary, but actually presented a point. The ability to turn a phrase will never replace actual meaning. After all, if your reader has to pause to comprehend what you''''re trying to say, then you are delinquent in your mission to communicate. See Strunk... Please!
I hope I''''ve made this flowery enough for you to understand, oh Wise CBS News Guy. Do you talk like this? Or, just snicker when you collect the paycheck?
