Democrats Risk Letting Their Guard Down By Dismissing McCain's VP Choice, CBS News Consultant Says
- Why wasn''t the American people told about this in the first place? I find it funny how this was announced on a holiday durring a major storm.

- So, Bristol Palin "will" marry the father of her unborn child. Well, I wonder if the Social Conservatives have given any thought to the possibility that the father will not want to marry Bristol. Of course, since Bristol is not due to give birth until after the election, this really doesn''t matter to a lying bunch of hypocritical right-wing nut jobs. The G.O.P. spin machine is running on high right now pumping out lie after lie for consumption by the American people. There are so many lies that are flooding the Internet from Republicans that I''ll bet people around the world are laughing their heads off at us, and wondering if we will buy this pile of G.O.P. feces. I won''t. But, I don''t know how many of my fellow citizens I can count on to do the same thing. The Founding Fathers concept of an "educated electorate" flew out the window long ago in this country. Obama/Biden 08!!!

- I for one enjoy seeing a fresh face, who has battled against her own party for what is RIGHT, instead of what the party dictates. I think what most people assume, is that unless some one has been in the Corral, they are the only ones qualified. VERY UNTRUE. I think this is EXACTLY what America needs. Some one who is untarneshed, has not been pushed around, become a go with the common vote type person. We need NEW...ideas, changes, and the only way will be able to acheive that, is to get the cronies out, and bring new, real people, who have lived the reality of an American life. Not all the ones who just want to line there pockets.

Earmark-gate
She endorsed the earmark to get the money, canceled the bridge and SPENT THE MONEY ON OTHER PROJECTS. Claimed to be a reformer for canceling the project (remember she kept the money). Additional money for a road on the island would have had to be returned to the federal government if that part of the project was canceled, so she is building the road that would have connected to the bridge and it will end at an empty beach.
I have sections from two news reports in Alaska that confirm this. -- interested? - Reply to this comment

Did I miss a news flash today? I thought McCain was running for President. - Reply to this comment
- I have nothing snide to venture about Palin, who is most likely smart, personable, and resourceful, like most Alaskans I have met.
BUT if this who McCain wants a heartbeat away from the Presidency, it make hypocritical hash out Republican attacks on Obama for limited high level experience and foreign policy background.
But then they said the same about Bill Clinton, and the track records of *** Cheney and George Bush certainly prove that lots of experience does not guarantee capable or honest governance. - Reply to this comment
- C''mon Joe. Be real. Palin was obviously not vetted and is on the ticket for one reason: she''s a woman.
She offers nothing more than a pretty packaging for extremist views that most Americans cannot identify with. Further, like all Republicans, she appears corrupt in her associations with Stevens'' 527 and Abramoff. So much is coming out about Palin now - Troopergate, association with the Alaska Independence Project , etc. - that I suspect she''s going to get thrown off the ticket like poor Tom Eagleton.
But, it''s nice that John McCain has an attractive younger woman to say flattering things about him and give him adoring glances. This is not a Veep - this is Viagra.
McCain is probably going to ditch McBarbie with a plausible story that she''s doing it for her family, and hope to God he hasn''t alienated Romney permanently. It''s be funny if Romney told him to take a hike! - Reply to this comment
