Now Palin has hired an Attorney in TrooperGate. To recall, she is being investigated for allegedly trying to get her sisters'' husband removed from the State Trooper after a divorce.
Sounds like Gonzales got a new gig.

Oh, now he''s Fidel castro? On the other board he is Adolph Hitler. Of course, yestrerday, he was the antichrist. But you are way off on the GOP smear talking points where he is a Muslim. Geesh, I wish y''all would get your stories straight.

Fidel Castro also had a law degree. He also spoke with mellifluous speech. He also promised change. He took a country that clearly could use some of that change and ran with it. He ran with his change all the way to the Soviet Union and turned everyone in it into slaves of Change (La Revolucion). Lenin did much of the same... He promised equality for all... When he was done, he had made everyone equally hungry, equally poor and equally willing to risk their lives to escape the tyranny of the dictatorship of the poor (Dictatorship of the Proletariat). Allende was pretty much the same and so was Ortega.
What does Obama have in common with all of these wonderful agents of Change? Look it up for yourselves. Don''t look back nineteen years from now saying nobody warned you. Don''t tell your children you were lied to. You had a chance to look him up yourself.

I could be wrong, but that''s why I think Dems are ultimately doomed - what woman would want to associate with a party whose members think that of them? Maybe women who judge others by their appearances and don''t like how Palin looks? Dems have claimed the mantle of civil rights for so long, they seem to take it for granted that they own the issue so anything goes . . . it''s not set in stone . . .

Nobody ever says they''re voting for a woman because they''re a woman, well except maybe me. Usually it''ll come out that they ''are voting on the issues, and that they liked what Palin said about childcare'' or whatever . . .

yeah, McCain''s not stupid. since she has been announced it has been reported that she was reckless enough to take an 8 hour plane flight while in labor a month early with her fifth child, her 17 year old daughter is 5 months pregnant, her hubby''s DUI hits the press, and a recording of her laughing while a shock jock she is being interviewed by calls her opponent (who just happens to have cancer) a "cancer and a ***"... and this is in the first 2 days since she was announced. No, McCain''s not stupid.

p.s. for whoever said Biden went "straight to the bar", Biden is a tea-totaler (that means he doesn;t drink). Sorry to disappoint you.

Sarah Palin''s good looks wont put food on our tables, pay mortgages or rent, put fuel in our vehicles, solve foreign policy challenges, or lead troops in our military.

Has anyone considered asking about the hypocritical side - A.K.A. DOUBLE STANDARD, of John McCain?

McCain assails his opponent with a battery of criteria, including his ability to command our military because Obama has no prior military service, and then chooses someone less educated and possibly equally politically experienced for his VP?

It dismays me and millions of citizens to know that John McCain applies a different standard for us than he applies to himself.

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson is far more experienced.

Sarah Palin is no Hillary Clinton!! Sarah Palin is no Senator Kay Hutchinson!!

Sarah Palin is a Cheerleader Governor from a state representing 0.002% of our country''s population. Two-tenths of one percent is not a fair representation of the USA demographics.

It is an insulting white-wash of double-standard politics!!

John McCain decided to go for the "Pop Star" and use Sarah for her image...nothing more.

John McCain should tatoo his face on the back of his head, so voters can see his "other standard".

Joe, I think you''re absolutely right (and usually do). What I know of Palin tells me she''s charming and able to disarm and convince with superficial arguments. I''ve concluded that she was brought on the ticket to allow McCain to flip-flip on Alaska drilling because Palin makes a strong (yet also superficial) argument for it and it''s the only tread he''s gotten. Do not dismiss her, folks. She''s not stupid.

You know had the GOP put as much effort into running the government as they have in slinging mud and making excuses they would still be in power. But alas you can''t get a lepord to change its spots.

Moderation is the best way no one is truly unhappy except for the ultra wing nuts on both side maybe at most 20 percent of the people.

---"Sarah Palin amplifies that part of the McCain brand, and helps to move McCain further from being identified with the Bush GOP, even while exciting some of the most conservative elements within it."---

Yeah, essentially McCain went right AND left at the same time. He''s not just taking on the ''change'' message, he''s taking on the ''8 more years of the same'' message - who here ever thought before of the GOP as being inclusive?

The very act of naming a woman isn''t just the message - with her comes the authority to speak about home and hearth, balancing work and family, etc. The dialogue coming out from the GOP side is completely new terrain . . .

Palin earned a BS Journalism degree from an obscure college.

Contrast with Barack Obama''''s Columbia University and Harvard Law School.

We can''''t afford the Republicans'''' "Faith Based" governing.

And you trust that what a Harvard educated lawyer says, is really what he means. Your carrying the party loyalty a bit far when you get that close to a lawyer. And a *** good one at that. lol

Excellent article. I agree completely, McCain can be a lot of things but stupid. Palin''s work shows how corrupt Biden has been for 30+ years he has been in the senate. Also, Palin''s experience shows Obama is completely out of place. If you feel afraid a woman of her experience and honesty will play second, then by no means can you accept an inexperienced in every sense Obama can lead the country.
People supporting Obama are falling in a deep pool of contradictions.
Obama chose a person to fill in his GAPS! His choice shows he feels inadequate and not ready. He chose a dad to stand behind him.
McCain can choose someone to support him and get things done, to fight corruption. Big difference!!

Who do you want as VP?

Joe Biden. The "cheney" to compensate for sweetie hussein''s gross inexperience; a plagiarizing expert who has stolen more words than Milton Berle (and he''s just as funny). Totally lacking in ethics, in his third-rate, mediocre law school Biden was only able to graduate 76th in a class of 85 - i.e., he was in the lowest 10.5%! Of course, while campaigning, he claimed falsely to have graduated in the "top half" of his class. A plagiarizer and a LIAR! As a politics-as-usual, 30+-year Washington parasite, Plagiarist-Joe never worked harder than in his efforts to kill bi-partisan legislation simply because it would have adversely affected the enormous income of his lobbyist son. Plagiarist-Joe is the poster-boy for all that is rotten in Washington. This choice illustrates the incredibly bad judgment of the Chicago Cretin.

Sarah Palin. A true political reformer who has cleaned-up one of the most politically corrupt states in the nation and who has shown a solid and unwavering commitment to ethical government. Palin is the antithesis of Plagiarist-Joe.

Tough choice? ----NOT!

(For the genetically low-IQ supporters of hussein: sorry about using all these adult words. Just so you''ll understand, "antithesis" means "opposite". Being a plagiarist is "bad" - not in sense of "good" but in the sense that going to jail for beating-up your old lady is "bad".)

Let''s face the real facts here.

The only reason Palin was chosen as McCain''s running mate is because of what she stands for. It sure wasn''t for her national credentials. She is a gun-toting mama with extreme right-wing beliefs. McCain is trying to energize the Republican base and attract women voters.

If he thinks it going to attract most of the Hillary women, he will be disappointed. Mainly because they are all smarter than he is and won''t fall for this little gimmick.
