marshall65-You are way too lucid to post here. It''s a shame because you make so much sense. See, the libs on this site are so rabidly liberal that they will constantly vote democratic. That''s it. Pary line, all the way.
Me, I''m a reformed liberal and staunch conservative so I will not vote for mccain.

anttaken-MY BAD. I re-read my post on this story and I did refer to terrorists & your messiah. However, I do think the rally/speech whatever was like the speeches in 1930''s Germany, so I still stand behind that comment.
REgarding terrorists, I do believe that ayers & dorn refer to themselves as terrorists, do they not?? That being said and the fact that they are bff''s of your messiah I guess he does have a link to terrorists. Yes??
He also has links to racists so let''s run with that one.

One thing that is apparent is that there are so many people, regardless of their political affiliations who desperately need to belong to a cause and then will defend the cause to the death. If either Obama or McCain had picked Donald Duck as a running mate, these people would be adamantly proclaiming that Donald Duck is ready to lead and is the right choice-just so they wouldn''t be seen as disloyal to their cause. Forget the country, their opinion and attachment to ''their'' cause is far more important. Take it away and they have nothing. The rest of us don''t care what party the best candidate comes from, just so we get the right candidate.

anttaken-Geez, don''t remember saying anything about terrorist in my post. Please do your usual cut and past to share, ok?? Are you referring to my reference to the likeness of the rallies in 1930''s Germany?? I want you to show me how that isn''t true, ok?? Watch some old movies and I do believe you will have to admit to a likeness. Terrorists no, socialist or marxist, YES.
Say, still under the influence of the rapture put on by the britney spears crowd???? I heard the sound system wasn''t that good.

Yep! even their biggest assest, their speeches, sometimes come from other people. If that the kind of leaders you''''re looking for then inexperienced Obama/Biden is your ticket.................sad.

"Dem ticket bonds on weekend tour - AP"...................They should be bonding after all they have someone Big in common. They both have been caught plagiarizing. Now you can decide if those are attributes that you feel like voting for on November 4th............Yep! even their biggest assest, their speeches, sometimes come from other people. If that the kind of leaders you''re looking for then inexperienced Obama/Biden is your ticket.................sad.

All I know is when Annie Oakley stands beside McCain at the podium, she makes him look like the faded old man he is.

we know so little about Sarah, she could easly be a terrorist

We know so much about Barack and his muslim gang. Barack has surrounded himself with muslims all his life. It''s no stretch to say "how easily Barack could be a terrorist". Your little joke backfired.

Arrogant selection, my, my. So if the messiah had picked say the shill for howie dean, governor of Kansas that would have been just fine?
I see your media is revving up with the nasty stories already.
So, just what makes the messiah ready to take on our national security?? What?? Oh yea, his ties to terrorists and radicals. Yea, that''ll work.

-True, Obama has little foreign policy

This statement says it all about Barack.

-Early in his tenure on the Foreign Relations Committee, Obama joined Richard Lugar''s efforts to secure weapons of mass destruction in the former Soviet Union

So what, that is an obvious for anyone and it doesn''t show some upper level foreign policy thinking, it merely restates what we already know.

This article shows Democrat arrogance against women. It won''t fly to tell the American people that Palin is not ready to be V.P. or President and that Barack is because he is a man. Women have better perception all around, and I''d take Sarah sitting across the table from Putin anyday. Putin already has Barack pegged and will underestimate Sarah like the rest of the Democratic Party. The real "change" Washington needs is in "gender" not race.

Of the four candidates, three are Senators and one is a governor. They are all running for the chance to govern the nation. Only one of them has governed anything. We are not electing a lawmaker, but someone to govern our nation. Palin is the best of the four for that job.

great article, I was very shocked and offended with the pick, there are many other republican woman politicians that would be a better pick to be the token woman candidate. all I could say was what was he thinking or should I say not thinking. I am even more behind Obama/Biden now
Posted by buckeyelu1 at 07:47 AM : Sep 01, 2008

Very funny that you would say that considering that your party chose to get behind a virtual unknown inexperienced junior senator. Unfortunately your party didn''t bother to consider ''other democratic women politicians'' AT ALL.

So very true. It''s hard to believe that any sane person coule possibly vote for more republican nonsense after the last catastrophic eight years. But for some people, power and control is more important than patriotism and discernment.

Take the edge on national security!!! A DEMOCRAT!!

Typical Fascist. When the Russian''s thumbed their nose at us with Georgia they KNEW what most of us knew. NO ONE on this planet has ANY respect for nor will the citizens of any nation step up to aid or stand with this Government we have. THEY are an ARROGANT bunch of losers who have STILL after over 7 years NOT captured those who attacked this nation. Sieg Heil Bush

Anyone who has made up his mind this early in the season, without watching the debates and hearing each candidate speak for him or herself is simply a closed minded partisan of party politics. PAY ATTENTION, people! This may be the most historic election in the history of the country, and you''''re treating it like a 7th grade popularity contest!

I find it amazing that the author of this article has the ability to look into someone''''s heart and judge arrogance or hubris. You can criticize the VP selection on its merits or lack thereof, but to say that McCain is being arrogant is really unfair.

Posted by waynester9 at 07:32 AM : Sep 01, 2008

That is what you got from the article?? LOL Look McSame had to get the wacked out Right onboard or he faced a defeat like none in modern history. Obama showed his party, this nation and the World that he was real and a steady leader. That left McSame with ONE option, do something to create a Wedge... that''s the ONLY thing that fires up the Pat Robertson Crowd... the chance to be lord and master over the rest of us. Yes it is Arrogant but it also shows just how bad off the Republican Party is... how dependent it has become on Radical''s and Extremist to compete. The Nazi''s did that and we all know the results!! Sieg Heil McBush
