He''s a liar, a muslim and a traitor. I can''t believe so many people are so easily manipulated. It''''s too bad sheep are allowed to vote.

This is why so many people are deceived by Obama:

Matthew 24:24

24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect%u2014if that were possible.

Matthew 7:15-16

15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep''s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

Each and everyone of his campaign contributors should have their welfare checks taken from them...They obviously don''''t know that my tax dollars were meant for them to live on...Not donated to a lost cause...

Wow,
Senator Obama''s great political fortunes return as once again during this election his opponent turns out to be a nincompoop. Senator McCain shows his political prowess is equivalent to that of Allan Keys -remember him, the non-Illinois token minority freak show the Republican Party sent to prevent Obama%u2019s election to the Senate. And now McCain picks a token female to woo disgruntled Clinton supporters, revealing just how stupid and superficial he and other Republicans think those supporters are -somewhere George Carlin is begging to be brought back to life to tell just a few more jokes. Yes, she%u2019s been a governor and mayor of the least-populated state -smaller than most US cities- and a tiny town, -I think they now have a stoplight though -and she%u2019s a moose hunter, a sports reporter and a beauty queen. A lifetime member of the NRA and chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission -Cheney approves. A BS in journalism-communication from Idaho -very prestigious; clearly no other education is required. Fully qualified, you betcha; to ruin Republican chances to keep the Presidency. She makes me yearn for Dan Quayle! Senator Joe Biden vs. Governor Sarah Palin, there%u2019s a wartime VP debate for the century. President-Elect Obama might as well start selecting his Cabinet%u2026Ding-dong, hello Mrs. Bush, I%u2019m Michelle Obama, would you mind if I came in to measure the drapes, thanks.

Regarding the photo accompanying this article:

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

I am now dumber for having read your drivel. Perhaps Obama did not mention the "success" of the surge because it followed years of ill-prepared, undersupported failure to bring order to Iraq; after such abysmal long-term failure, doing what the generals begged from the beginning (give us more troops) should be labelled a "success?"

And you obviously weren''t listening to Obama discuss race, praising his white grandparents and mother for giving him guidance and calling for parental accountability for our children.

As for invading Iraq, maybe you don''t recall old Rummy being all chummy with his pal Saddam and Reagan selling him all kinds of weapons to fight the Iranians, weapons (like those we sold to the Taliban) that were then used to kill American soldiers. And there are places in this world with far worse despots than Saddam Hussein, but why hasn''t George "Smoke ''Em Out" Bush put on his armor and gone into those nations? Hmmm, the Bush family fortune has been amassed in oil and what is Iraq currently sitting on oceans of?

Ramesh, I think "Weekly Reader" has an opening for a writer with the deep insights you have blessed us with.

I believe that NEVERKOOLAID was refering to an interview that he gave to Italian Vogue. Either George is a flip-flopper or his brother got to him to shut him up. Obama''s favorite bible quote, "whatever you do to the least of my brother, you do unto me........

This country is in real trouble if people think Obama is the answer. Did anyone stop to think that it may get worse under his tenure? Not that McCain is the answer, either, but again, it''s just typical of the choice we get to make. Of all the smart, compassionate, patriotic people we have in this United States, look who we get to pick from.

NEVERKOOLAID, you are so wrong about so much. Obama''s half brother in Kenya was interviewed - I saw it - and he is very happy to be related to Obama. He hates those who say he''s poor, because he thinks otherwise. He''s his own man, and to lie about him is below even McCain''s new Rovian-style antics. Shame on you.

this author parrots the cynical, bullying tone that we have come to believe is acceptable and even to label "news". I agree with him that it was a great speech, specific, visionary and inclusive. Barack Obama has shown himself to be well prepared, to deal from a position of integrity.

As to the addition of troops to was war started to find non-existent weapons of mass distruction, tied blatently falsely to the events of 911 (some Americans still believe its somehow linked); in which we have violated the trust of so many brave men and women with multiple tours that they did not sign up for, and finally which has drained all of the surplus left by the democratic party to the point that riches to rags has been the experience, I cannot stomach that anyone claims any success! Talk about dishonest. I wonder too if this author thinks that the mission was accomplished 4 years ago. I for one american am tired of this bullying - it was effective when we questioned getting into the war, but in the words of Barack Obama ENOUGH!!!!

Obama is the proof of the brilliance, the beauty, and the blessedness of America - He and his wife are both living proof of the genius of American democracy - these blessings spawn a love of this country so pure and true that we cannot deny it''s flaws -- we love deeply in spite of its flaws. Yes, his preacher may be harsh in his criticism of America, but not untruthful. He does not lie his way into a war where a company that just happens to be affiliated with his vice president rakes in untold millions; where big oil is perched like vultures waiting to tap into the blood-bought oil of a country that had no terrorists, no weapons of mass destruction, and had not attacked us first. Who is the real patriot and who is the menace to society?

What we have seen played out over the last eight years is a spectacular failure of Movement Conservatism.
They finally got their chance to drive, and they ran the country into a ditch.

"...what is not possible; that is, giving raises to virtually everyone, provide them with universal health care, create great paying jobs, etc, etc...."
Posted by abnerm

How can you say it''s not possible? We used to have great paying jobs, affordable healthcare, etc, etc, in this country.

Of course that was before the Neo-Cons got a hold of the federal government.

"If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed," he said.

P.S. Why do you think Candidate Obama didn''t have to "work(ed) hard to express his identification with ordinary Americans"? The proof is in a stadium with 84K people in it.... he Resonates with us! Could it be, despite the the spin to the contrary, that he IS one of us?... Nahhhh.... that would imply HOPE! From a politician? This cynic is cured!

Obama in ''08!
