The New Republic: Kansas Governor's Relationship With Church Could Be An Obstacle To Becoming Obama's Running Mate
- It seems strange to me that they always seem to want to look around the mother at somebody else except when the mother is black.
Why is that?

CBS Oliver, to WHAT are you referring? Can you give ANY example of what you''re talking about?
If you would like an example of blacks being specifically targeted regarding abortion/life, please educate yourself about Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood. You will find that she was a strong believer in eugenics: purifying a race through genetic selection. Look it up. Then look at the location of the PPs in your city. See if they just happen to be in minority-heavy areas. Then ask yourself if it''s a coincidence.
Pro-lifers are trying to SAVE "black women", as you say. - Reply to this comment
- I''''d like to see Sibelius work part-time at Dr. Tiller''''s butchery abortion clinic where viable fetuses are butchered everyday. Sibelius invited Tiller and his murderous staff to dinner at the Governor''''s mansion awhile back. Tiller gave thousands of dollars in political donations to the Sibelius campaign. She is heartless and has no respect for human life.

No need for that. With our health care system, most do not make it there. - Reply to this comment
- People like Sebelius and Kerry want their religion to fit their political aspirations rather than fit in with them. If people want to make up their own religion they should follow people like Echkart Tolle ... not catholicism.

And the reverse can be said. If you practice celibacy then you shouldn''t make rules pertaining to marriage... - Reply to this comment
- Sibelius does not have THAT problem and would help unite and excite the full spectrum of democrats.

It might help turn off catholics. although Obama has that already done this for church going catholics who follow the doctrine of the church which is bluntly anti- abortion. Trust me modern american morality about sexuality is nothing like the catholic or indeed christian views about sexuality - Reply to this comment
- You got to love the fact that nowhere on the mainstream media is it brought up how thin Kaine''s resume is compared to Sibelius''s and how that that is going to play. Instead the media in it''s enormous and undending sexism, digs overtime to find one possible supposed advantage Kaine may have, through no virtue of his own of course, evidently a better catholic bishop. Wow, like we care. If anything it might gain Sibelius more votes because a lot of us are quite fed up with a church full of so many offenders dictating sexual morality. Anyway fact remains putting a flyweight like Kaine on the ticket hands gives the republicans more ammunition to say "there''s no there there and worse" about the Democratic ticket. Sibelius does not have THAT problem and would help unite and excite the full spectrum of democrats.
