The Nation: Putting Condoleezza Rice On The Republican Ticket Would Cause Indescribable Angst For Dems
- Indeed, she may be enough to elect the venerable hero/naval aviator.

If Senator McCain adds Ms. Rice to his ticket, he will insure a Democratic landslide.
That women and indeed the entire administration is the worst in history.
The American public wants change and this ticket isn''t it.- Reply to this comment
- It would be awesome if McCain chose Rice.
That would even make me vote for McCain.
Those of you libs who keep posting the garbage about Rice ignoring the signs before 9/11 have selective anmesia. You should see a doctor about it.
Clinton hamstrung our intelligience agencies with his rules and budget cuts. He ignored goverments that tried to hand him Bin Laden. He was to busy getting BJ''s from Monica to be president. - Reply to this comment
- Sorry, rayuk, but if you''ll read taddles @ 3:04 and try to imagine what the Democratic attack machine is going to do to this smooth but slippery-tongued apologist for Bush come the REAL campaign, I don''t see how you can possibly imagine she''s a threatening choice.
With her intellect and her masterful way with words and discourse, she ran rings around any number of congressional commitees. But a campaign is anything BUT a conmfortable chair in front of a group of polite, reasonably-civil-tongued women and men of congress. With the exception of one-on-one debates, the heat she will get on the campaign trail will make her look like just what she is, A WOMAN WHO PROSTITUTED HER GOD-GIVEN TALENTS OF INTELLECTUAL DISCOURSE IN THE SERVICE OF A SERIOUSLY FLAWED INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT AND HIS NEOCON CABAL.
Further, it is common knowledge how she seriously mis-handled KNOWN, RELIABLE intelligence data in early 2001. Had she done her job properly, it is quite probable that 9/11 would never have happened. The American people aren''t quite as dumb as you must think! - Reply to this comment
- I think a vice-presidet without a clue is worst then a sectary of state without a clue. We already have a president who does not have a clue. Why follow tweedldee with tweeduledum?

- Rice for VP is a little too "cute" and therefore not probably a good decision in the true light of the day.
She has some serious baggage and she is not a natural politician.
In addition, she does not hail from a big state and therefore would not bring much to the ticket.
Like all nominees, McCain has deficiencies and the VP needs to fill them. - Reply to this comment
- I don''t know what von Hoffman has been smoking, but bluestardad nailed it. She is as responsible as anyone for ignoring the indications of an attack in the summer of 2001. Of course, after Agnew, Quayle and Cheney, it might be fitting for the Gay Ole Party to pick ''Leeza.

- The Nation may be the only smart advocacy group or publication that the Democratic Party has. Kerry, as we all know, is a dry and out of step born loser. Kennedy has just been at it too long and has a questionable past. And oh, less we forget about one of the worst Demo libabilites, MoveOn.org. MoveOn has poor ideas and lack of vision, and at the same time keeps a lot of strong Democrats from doing productive work in the parties interest elsewhere. They are a drain on much needed contributions for better trained and targeted operations. We are big losers in that regard and our lack of help in getting more and more of the female vote is a shame based on past history of their impact. And where for heavens sake is the Party Leadership (Dean) , I think AWOL.
Rice on the GOP ticket is big trouble for an Obama run. Much, much bigger than a Clinton run. If we Democrats lose the election in November, it will be due to the rank stupidity of the old school politicians that have failed the party for at least 20 years. We need to make our votes and voices known and leverage same against those who can''t get the job done. - Reply to this comment
