National Review Online: Clinton's Brawling, GOP Attacks On McCain Bring Down Both Candidates
- Romney is the best candidate for the economy if you believe in the current Bush/Clinton corporatist system (subsidies for corporations, different trade rules for coporations and private people, a federal reserve bank focused on corporate profits rather than inflation, the federal deficit not mattering, ...).
Ron Paul will not be president, but it is unfortunate that libertarian analysis of the economy is not being taken more seriously by the media and Americans in general. - Reply to this comment
- John McCain is too old to be president. He would be 72 years and 5 months old if he takes office and 76 years old when the term ends. It is almost a moral certainty that he would not seek a 2nd term at that age, so the American people have no hammer to keep him in line. He will be free to grant amnesty to every third world citizen who is able to sneak across the border in the dark of night - and with impunity.
He should go home and get to know his grandchildren and leave the presidency to a younger person who has the quick wits and stamina that are equal to the task. I am always a little suspicious of one who won''t get off the stage when their act is over.
Surely this is not the best America has to offer. - Reply to this comment
- If it wasn''t for the writers'' strike, who''d have noticed this real life soap opera? LOL. Still, where''s the latest stance, wide-open as it typically is, regarding Britney Spears? :)

- Hillary vs. McCain. ROTFL!! Let''s see her try to sell her experience in a fight with McCain. Bet she goes the "time for new blood" route totally reversing what she''s trying with Obama. Hope someone (Obama?) finally calls her on exactly what her vast experience consists of? Think Bubba had her attending top level meetings when she was first lady? LOL - she didn''t even know when Monika was in the Oval Office! Someone please expose her for the 1.5 term Senator she is; that''s the total of her real experience for the office of President.
