The Nation: Republican's Money Bombs Could Change The Face of Grassroots Politics
- I have friends working for his campaign who have never done anything like that before. Look at his fundraising. He''s raising incredible amounts, enough to rival the leaders of the campaign and he''s doing it with small individual donations and no mainstream publicity. The other candidates have more money, but less individuals donated. I think the person who wins in a republic is the one with more individual votes, not the one who raised more money. The other candidates get more air time, more publicity and yet this man and his ideas get more people interested. They aren''t being force-fed his opinion. They have been starving for it.For those who think it is only an internet phenomena, think about that for a second. The internet is a phenomena that revolutionized our entire civilization. I couldn''t believe it when I saw people dismissed that he won the YouTube debate poll. "He''s only popular on the internet", they said. The debate was sponsored by a website! Sean Hannity said Ron Paul supporters were double dialing the poll and skewing the numbers so he''d win. The system didn''t allow votes from the same number twice, so either a ton of Paul supporters have multiple phone lines, or Hannity is desperate to explain away what he thinks is impossible. Ron Paul actually has the support the media says he can''t have.

- You want to think for yourself, pick Ron Paul because he is the only candidate who thinks you should, too. The only candidate who believes that government has no business telling you how to live. Only 30% of Americans vote, and Ron has been tapping into people in the 70% statistic, the disenfranchised, which is the majority. You want the real silent majority? Ron Paul is getting it. Personally I joined the Republican party to vote for him in the primary, I haven''t been polled because I wasn''t a Republican before. I did it because I''ve been waiting for a candidate to have his Constitutional opinions since I first studied the Constitution in grade school and wondered which document our present government was reading. How many others are like me?

- I see the strangest posts here. First off, Ron Paul IS the only choice for a critical thinker. Because his record and his opinions are formed upon the first document to try and apply reason to government. His opinion on abortion? His opinion is that it is none of the government''s business! He personally is anti-abortion, and as an OB/GYN is probably the ONLY politician in the country who has an informed, professional opinion on the subject. But once again, his political stance is that it is none of the government''s business, which I thought was the whole point of the pro-abortion movement in the first place!

- I was just curious: why isn''t Ms. Couric interviewing Dr. Ron Paul? That is a big slap in the face to a whole lot of americans and I am one of them; By ignoring Ron Paul, Ms. Couric is helping to fan the flames of the Paul revolution..guess i have to thank her for that. What amazes me the most, is the number of twenty yr. olds that are actually thinking about voting..guess who they are going to vote for?? Heh..keep up the good work, Ms. Couric...Peace

- The truth shall set you free. Ron Paul is the only one speaking the truth. Clear consistent easy to understand not hidden in the usual "Politics speech"

- Should Paul ever become more than a blip on the radar, his support of the John Birch Society will become an issue.
Posted by formrusmcsgt at 01:31 PM : Dec 19, 2007---------------Don''t see why that would be a negative issue. There was a former United states Marine named Lee Harvey Oswald who was a communist since he was 15 years old. He was no "Bircher", rather the opposite......He was suspected at trying to kill Gen. Walker before he succeeded in killing our President. Bet he''s the one who give the Russians the altitude capability of our U-2 spyplane that they were able to shoot down after he defected to the Soviets. - Reply to this comment
- RP has a voting record this is more consistent then any politician I have seen from DC over years. He votes aligned with the Constitution and wants to return power and most issues back to the states and the local level where they belong and were originally set up. RP is truthful & has real honor and integrity. Very rare and probably non existent qualities in Wash DC. If most people will view the package you will see a man who will direct this country back to our roots and a government that is truly working for the people.
