The New Republic:Straw Poll Winner Underperforms, While Huckabee Excels
- Fortunately, Mutt Romney''s cult membership as a high hoodoo in the mormon ''church'' precludes his ever being elected to anything higher than, say, dog catcher for Salt Lake County...or Multiple Marriage Counter in Lehi County.
The cross-eyed ''christian'' Reich members will see to it that no ungodly heathen follower of a White Salamander will ever get to Washington!
These wastrels are the best the Republiscum Party can come up with for 2008 !?

- Brian, You speak of flip flop, ? I have never heard anyone more changeable than Hilary!
And, becasue Guiliani was at 9/11, he did make changes within the city, and it does make him a hero. Know anything about NYC?! - Reply to this comment
- There is a very good reason Guiliani did not run against Hillary Clinton for the New York Senate seat in 2002-- he knew he would get the pooh kicked out of him!
Now, having flip-flopped so many times trying to pretend he''s a conservative right-winger, poor Rudy will really get munched if he wins the nomination! - Reply to this comment
- Of course, the neocons thought Bush Junior was in the military too, so they''''ll believe anything Rush Limbaugh and Fox News tells them.

........marocele, who generated the "false" National Guard memos for CBS (Corrupt Broadcasing Station)? Why isn''t 60 minutes, 20-20, NBC Dateline investigating this?
or
The classified documents that your hero Sandy Berger stuffed down his socks and shirt? Must of been pretty "damming" documents for Sandy to steal them and tear them up behind a trailer.
........Really sad and really ALL True........ - Reply to this comment
- Guiliani''s experience with terrorism consists of going to Ground Zero and staring at the rubble; making promises to the firefighters then renegging on those promises; and billing himself as "The Hero of 9/11."
The fact that he was in the same place at the same time as the firefighters who were heroes does not make him a hero.

- More bad news for the 110th Do Nothing Democrat Congress. Don''''t look for CBS (Clinton Broadcasting Station) to report on these polls results...............as usual:

Congress Approval Rating Matches Historical Low
Just 18% approve of job Congress is doing
by Jeffrey M. Jones
GALLUP NEWS SERVICE
PRINCETON, NJ -- A new Gallup Poll finds Congress'''' approval rating the lowest it has been since Gallup first tracked public opinion of Congress with this measure in 1974. Just 18% of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing, while 76% disapprove, according to the August 13-16, 2007, Gallup Poll.
That 18% job approval rating matches the low recorded in March 1992, when a check-bouncing scandal was one of several scandals besetting Congress, leading many states to pass term limits measures for U.S. representatives (which the Supreme Court later declared unconstitutional). Congress had a similarly low 19% approval rating during the energy crisis in the summer of 1979." - Reply to this comment
- Experiance is paramount at a time when the primiary issue is saving the lives of Americans against terrorism. This war is about the life and death of our country, not castles in the air. Obama has very little experiance yet much hope., which is nice if there was no war. Clinton has failed miserably with the very issues she continues to promote, and having a CLINTON back in the White House is a HUGE error in judgement. The next president needs to have experiance running a corporation, having professional morality, know the differance between right and wrong, and be credible. It is more than intelligence, more than ability, it is who would you want to be alone with against a terrorist attack? I say Guiliani not Romney.

Just look at Iraq and you can see what ALL that experience has gotten us. Rumsfeld and Cheney had lots of experience and look at Iraq!!! The Schrub has lots of experience but at what??

Who''s gonna protect you from Gun Violence in America or an Automobile Accident for that matter. If and when another terrorist attack takes place you can be assured that either party will react with fierce force. Because we are all American and proud of it. The Republicans do not own that intrinisic value which is so American. Domocrats are just as responsible and effective when it comes to protecting and using force if applicable as any Republican. We need someone who cares about the working class and does not use fear to scare us into voting for them. Wake up America.. How many Registered voters in Manhattan voted for Bush in 2004. I dare say it was less then 30% and that from millions of ppl who experienced the terrorist attacks first hand. Franklin Roosevelt (a Democrat) said it best. "All We have to Fear is Fear Itself" Because fear is the most powerful of all emotions. (And I thought the republicans were not emotional like the lefties ha ha)

Well thank you for ''waking us up''. Just a tad full of yourself aren''t you? Most of us know exactly what goes on in the world and how things work, thank you. You are not the only intelligent one here...good gravy.
BTW - Don''t tempt God with your ''Where was God when the cave-in happened?'' Trust me...He was and is there. Whether you believe in Him or not...He was still there.
Peace be with you. - Reply to this comment

And one more observation isn''t Fox the network that brought us some of the most ground breaking morally corrupt programming back in the late 80''s when they created the Network. All to gain market share from the traditional 3 networks. I.e. Married with Children, Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place hmm.. How do they reconcile with their Conservative slant which is a hallmark of their News Department. Sounds pretty Hypocrital to me.. But Hypocrisy and the Republican NeoCons go hand in hand.. Oooh be scared of the big Media Monster... Be very scared.... - Reply to this comment

Go to Fox News then.. Have you ever been to a predominantly Republican City and looked at their newspapers.. My God the Arizona Republican and San Diego Union Tribune look like Picture Books. The stories are so mundane and un-insightful it is scary. Thinking people require in depth reporting. With this depth, unfortunately for NeoCons, comes exposure of the lies and attempts to brainwash... Most of your type can''t even muster up the attention span to read a complete story especially one that criticizes your philosophical leanings. A story in and of itself is news and as such is required to analyze all aspects and not just tow the Administrations agenda. This is why Freedom of the Press is so important... Your President and His Bully Pulpit should be able to counter any dissenting view points since they are in power. However they demonstrate a gross disregard for the truth and instead love secrecy and back door deals, ala wiretapping without the courts approval. Stop attacking the press and grow up. Intelligent adults can discern for themselves what the truth is. Instead stand up for your President and tell us why he has been so good for this Country and this Planet. The press is doing their job... btw I do read Fox News, too bad they do not allow us to post on their website. cont. - Reply to this comment
- As Ronald Reagan would say%u2026%u2026.. %u201CWell %u2026%u2026%u2026 there you go again %u2026%u2026%u201D Looks like our liberal MSM wolfpack has some explaining to do%u2026%u2026.. now for the facts:
The %u201CCenter for Media and Public Affairs%u201D did an accounting of the network newscasts from September 5 thru October 22 and found an overwhelming liberal bias.
On the "Big Three%u201D" network newscasts, the audit showed a clear jihad against the Republican Party. Only 12 percent of election stories that aired on NBC, ABC, or CBS could be regarded as remotely "favorable" to Republicans.
"Democrats basked in glory." The study showed that 77 percent of news accounts in the six-week period offered favorable evaluations of Democratic candidates and lawmakers.
77% to 12% isn%u2019t what most Americans would say was %u201Cfair-n-balanced%u201D. Does anyone one out there think that any of the networks engaged in this propaganda will carrying this story?............. sad and shameful that Americans can%u2019t trust the news anymore%u2026%u2026%u2026%u2026..
Looks like we need %u201Caffirmative action%u201D programs at CBS, NBC, and ABC %u2026%u2026%u2026.. just for starters%u2026%u2026%u2026%u2026.

- Boy, conservatives really hate it when you grab them by the neck and stick their face down into the TRUTH. They don''t wnat to know what their government is doing - they trust their Republican politicians. They don''t want to be bothered with who is doing what at who''s bidding or who is on who''s payroll. They just want red white and blue painted on everything and crosses everywhere you look. Well go to the cemetery, they''re full of crosses from our dead soldiers, dying for the oil companies. Lies, lies lies, that''s all you get from Republicans. It''s too hard to remember the details. Better to believe in God than in the periodic table. Republicans are pathetic, like cromagnons living among us. Why pray after the mine caves in - where was God when He could have prevented the cave in ? Meanwhile the coal barons pay the politicians to relieve them of inspections and safety requirements. Better wake up, people.

- Of course, there is only one media outlet that claims to be fair, balanced, and unbiased, and that it Fox, the most blatantly biased news organization in history. Fox is to news what Jerry Springer is to family counseling.

......marcodele, Got Proof? My proof is posted below. Is there any liberals out there today that can post any kind of proof? or do you intend on repeating the "same lies over and over again"? Liberals have Zero creditability but plently of hot air......... Stay tuned - Reply to this comment
- Are we so incapable of using logic to make our own opinions on subjects that we must constantly harp on which media outlet is biased in which direction? It isn''t a perfect world, and I doubt if any journalist or media outlet has been perfectly balanced enough to please all of the people all of the time.

- JohnStorm and ainttaken, your talk is "cheap" where''s your proof? Americans are tried of the liberal propaganda coming from our news/political organziations. Read on again:
CBS (Crush Bush Station), We know you%u2019re very busy with your liberal %u201Cpropaganda blitzkrieg%u201D against the GOP in full support of your hero Hillary Rotten Clinton. You can%u2019t kid your way through this perception of basis. Americans know that you%u2019re pack full liberal DEM reporters and editors. Now for some facts:
Bad news is always bigger news than good news. But a study by the Business and Media Institute says when it comes to the economy, broadcast network news stories are overwhelmingly and intentionally negative.
The year-long study of evening news programs revealed more than twice as many negative economic stories as positive %u2014 and the negative stories were in full -length reports %u2014 while the positive were in shorter forms. The study says the "CBS Evening News" went negative on the economy in 80 percent of its reports %u2014 the highest percentage among the three networks.
And the brilliant 2003 study "A Measure of Media Bias" by Tim Groseclose and Jeff Milyo scientifically documented that the national media slants your news left, with CBS and the New York Times leading the parade.
It time for CBS and the other liberal MSM to implement %u201Caffirmative action%u201D plans to ensure that your reporters come also from moderate and conservative political backgrounds. - Reply to this comment
