If Romney really wanted to be president, he would dump the (R) after his name, Bush has guaranteed that the letter in question has become a near insurmountable handicap.

.........omega39, let''s hope Americans vote for the candidate that is "best" qualified to lead this nation forward. Mitt doesn''t have to "talk" about what he''ll do, one only has to look at the long list of accomplishments to know that he can get great results.
The current problem in America "is" that folks look for the "D" or "R" after the candiates name and it''s not serving America or its people very well right now.

Every candidate is attacked. For Romney, it''s his religion, his too-perfect family, or the fact that he changed his mind. But when you get past all that, he really seems to have the strongest resume. I was leaning to supporting Fred until I really studied Romney''s credentials. I wouldn''t vote for someone just because he looks presidential. But you can''t accomplish the kinds of things he''s done without legitimate skills. He knows how to involve the right people to solve very difficult problems, and those are the kind of problems this world has. I like Fred''s ability to memorize a script, and he delivers his lines with authority, but I doubt those skills will fix the complex problems we face today. With Romney, I think we''ve got someone who can actually change things in a good way. He understands economics and business, and we seriously need someone who does. He''s a communicator. He has managed very large organizations, and in every case left them in far better shape. Not many people have that kind of talent. No other candidate in either party is really on his level. Rudy comes closest, only because of 9/11. Take 9/11 away, and Rudy''s resume is much thinner.

Mitt is the most viable moderate conservative in the Presidential race and the best qualified to bring new leadership with his vision for America''s future. As Michael Reagan has reminded everyone, his beloved father, The Gipper; when Governor of California signed a major pro-abortion piece of legislation before he became our party''s greatest conservative and pro-life President. So good people do evolve in their positions on social issues. Gov. Romney has an impressive resume to showcase. When elected governor in 2002 he assumed a monstrous 3 billion dollar deficit and put the state od Massachusetts back in the black without raising taxes. His success in public office mirrors his record in the private sector at Bain Capitol where he reorganized and made household names of companies such as Domino''s Pizza and Staples. He also bailed out the U.S. Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2002.Candidate Romney graduated valedictorian in undergrad; then pursued a double degree at Harvard (M.B.A. and law) graduating in the top 5% of his class while doing so. Gov. Romney''s record not only reflects his fiscal expertise; but he''s also pro-life. As governor, Romney vetoed a bill which would have funded human cloning and the destruction of human embryos. A strong family man, Romney has been married for 38 years to his wife Ann. Romney has also taken a tough stance on terrorism, and he''s the only top tier presidential candidate who strongly opposed the flawed Senate immigration bill.

Good thing Mitt has money to spend and it''s the only way to get public awareness of him. The rest of the presidential candidates fear him. Why? Because once the country knows him, most people will believe in him. He''s got the whole package others don''t have. All they do is pick up dirt to throw at him, but, sadly, their own hands are now dirty too.

liked Hukabee until I found out he was to stupid to understand Evolution. If you can''''t understand evolution you have no buisness running for president.

It is not that he is that stupid; although I will not dispute your point, it is that he does not accept the science. We can not have any elected officials let alone one in the WH that does not accept science. Even the Pope who usually agrees with these weird people said that it is absurd to believe that evolution and creationism can not both be embraced. Hopefully, Catholic woman will listen to their fearless leader and dump this Christian right crowd this time around.

Romney is much more capable and viable in the general election.

Mike Huckabee is about as reliable as social conservatives come: He''s been on the front lines of the fight against abortion and gay marriage and is unimpressed by the theory of evolution.

Boy that sound like someone I''d support--so stupid he thinks the world was created in 7 days..

Fortunately, Mutt Romney''s cult membership as a high hoodoo in the mormon ''church'' precludes his ever being elected to anything higher than, say, dog catcher for Salt Lake County...or Multiple Marriage Counter in Lehi County.

The cross-eyed ''christian'' Reich members will see to it that no ungodly heathen follower of a White Salamander will ever get to Washington!

These wastrels are the best the Republiscum Party can come up with for 2008 !?

"Yes Ma''am, Madame President Clinton!"
