"GOP Voters Still Back Iraq Invasion"

Well of course they do, as long as taxes aren't raised to pay for it, and as long as their personal participation in the effort is limited to placing a Chinese made two dollar ribbon on their car to show their "patriotism"....

Dems on the other hand don't mind bashing the moral of the troops and disgracing the lives of those who've died fighting by calling this war a failure.

And you contend that continuing to waste warriors for naught somehow "honors" those already wasted?

Brilliant.....

I participataed in a debacle that saw 55,000 warriors wasted. Those 55,000 would not have been honored in any way by wasting another 50,000.

You obviously suffer from acute cranial-rectal insertion.......

Is it possible, given the corrupt and Machiavellian nature of the Bushit adminstration, that Osama was ALLOWED to escape from Tora Bora FOR THIS VERY REASON?

Considering the fact that the administration chose to use "for hire" war lords (who subsequently hired themselves out to OBL) to effect his capture instead of using American forces, it does beg the question....

It appears that a mass contagia has occured. Bush has infected the majority of the Repubs with his "If you refuse to admit that it's a failure, it isn't" syndrome......

No, Republicans are more inclined to sit back and let the battles be fought instead of rushing to call our troops and the war a failure. We understand that timetables can't be in place
during war; wars are unpredictable and so
timetables are not realistic. Dems on the other hand don't mind bashing the moral of the troops and disgracing the lives of those who've died fighting by calling this war a failure. It is what it is, you'll never see things our way so go on and continue to spew your hatred and cast a negative light on this great country. You should feel very proud.

Perhaps Bush doesn't WANT to catch Osama, any more than he WANTS to withdraw troops from Iraq. He has admitted he looks forward to a Korea-type occupation of Iraq by the US military--read "permanent bases."

So why would he want to catch such a useful bad guy he can always point at as he guts the Constitution and spits on the laws of the USA? Is it possible, given the corrupt and Machiavellian nature of the Bushit adminstration, that Osama was ALLOWED to escape from Tora Bora FOR THIS VERY REASON?

"They tend to call the war the right thing no matter how they see it going."

Considering that the invasion has created a number of Iraqi refugees that equals the total populations of Los Angeles and San Francisco combined, with 60,000 more each month fleeing their homes, the Iraqis obviously don't agree.....

This is the type of article that will remain on this site for days because it has the faithful all riled up. Typical.

Your "complaint" would indicate that you aren't all that proud of the results, janem4.

I wouldn't be either, were I a Repub......

Hey janem4 this is you to the tee

Does this actually surprise anyone? I rub elbows with (in my own family as well) enough die hard Republicans to know they never ever admit being wrong about anything even when it's completely obvious. Those who cannot admit failure are doomed to fail again, a saying that dates from the dawn of mankind .....

Let's see, with estimates of 65,000 plus Iraqi civilian dead from Bush's six-year war...

That number depends on whether you take the administration at its word or choose to believe independent sources.

The latter place the figure at 10 times what the administration will admit to.
