National Review Online: Accusations That Gonzales Lied To Congress Are Without Merit
- The NRO would have us believe that night is day and day is night. That's their line of logic. Gonzales should be fired immediately; he's a disgrace!

- Questioning is not a crime. Not answering should be.

Even if it means classified information could be compromised? C'mon, this is nothing but a witch hunt. The dems know he can't disclose classified info, they use his refusal to "answer" against him. It's complete nonsense.

The Democrats know they can't disclose classified info but Cheney, Libby, Rove and Armitege didn't - NOW that is NONSENSE!

Exactly and it's getting rediculous already. I can't believe that the dems are making such a stink over one statement. Mr. Specter( a republican) should be ashamed of himself for trying to sell out one of his own and the dems should be ashamed as well. They do this for what, political gain. Surely the american people are smart enough to see through the bs here. - Reply to this comment
- Yours, NR, is a mere opinion as good as anyone's else. You do not have the whole thing, starting from the demeanor of this particular witness that has been heading a department of government that is supposed to be above politicking, but that unders his tenure has become a political branch of the republicans. So, your condescendent assessment of what Gonzales has done is allowed. That's all you can expect. There are so many others that think otherwise!

- We must ask our leadership about the truth of their motives, purposes, objectives, and intentions; these people speak for us, make laws that affect us, and represent us globally. We need to know that our leadership is worth our loyalty.
Congress is investigating and questioning because the behaviors of our leadership are not demonstrating the motives and objectives of the majority of the people it represents.
Questioning is not a crime. Not answering should be.
And never to question? To simply follow? Never to question allows the faults of leadership to be equally assumed by the followers of that leader, responsibility for mistakes and death equal for both.
I don't want to be held responsible for what Bush is doing to this country. I question him. I thank Congress for questioning him.
If you claim there is no lies in this sour corrupt administration, I say they give no truth either. We get only dim gray disconnected areas undefinable as either lie or truth. That gives rise to doubt, suspision, and mistrust. How is that any better government? - Reply to this comment
- I wish the NRO (and the White House) were as concerned about the rights of law abiding Americans as they are about keeping this fool Gonzales on as AG.

It'll be interesting to hear what he has to say under waterboarding. I mean, the Prez has clearly indicated that tortures OK, so, as long as its the law of the land, lets use it on its primary apostle. - Reply to this comment
- No but if the Dumnos said the same thing you would say it's true, right?
The re-pubic-ans impeached clinton for this, they should epect nothing less in return.

Did the Dumnos say he perjured himself. Do they now have proof that he did. You ejaculated too early. Must be what you do often.

I can hardly see how Democrats can do worse than you Fascist and your Incompetent Fuhrer. After 5 long years our intel tells us Al Qaeda has completely rebuilt AND that your War in Iraq has fueled that rebuilding. Now add that to the FACT that you are the most hated creatures on this planet and I'd say you have pretty much gotten the butt whoopin of the century in your War on Terror... Sieg Heil Bush. Come on help me out here it'll make your trip to the bunker with the fuhrer less stressful. SIEG HEIL! One more time! SIEG HEIL!! ROFLMAO - Reply to this comment

We do know better. We aren't playing. And the weakness you fear is your own.
