Well, godin6 - since you asked:

I'd like to see a multi-national, multi-ethnic group of Peacekeepers sent in as our forces pull out.

I would also like to know why the country cannot be divided into three parts. That idea was always "off the table" but many Iraqis have proposed it.

"Bravery is doing the right thing - the smart thing -- even when it's difficult. Bring our troops home. Iraq was a terrible mistake. We must be brave enough to admit that."

Very well stated!

AMEN redwilma.

If you really support the troops, try to get them out of harm's way.

There is no shame in pulling out of Iraq. It's the logical thing to do. We are not doing any good there - and it certainly is not the fault of our brave soldiers.

There is shame in being so proud that you will allow innocent people to die rather than risk being called a coward. There is nothing brave about that.

Bravery is doing the right thing - the smart thing -- even when it's difficult. Bring our troops home. Iraq was a terrible mistake. We must be brave enough to admit that.

We should try to match the courage of our military by speaking the truth.

WHEN ARE Republicans GOING TO STEP UP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING?

Never.

Based on the rhetoric coming out of the GOP and the people who support them, they aren't ready to share. They're like children, with all the name calling and bashing of the opinion of the majority of Americans, who by the way, know that the Iraq violence policy needs to come to an urgent end. Americans don't like feeling responsible for the deaths and destruction, and the millions of displaced and homeless we've created in Iraq.

Finally, what happened to the construct of the Grand Old Party/Republicans? Is the spewing of various fear instilling talking points the last gasp of a party that used to stand for things like states rights, small and effective government, conservative use of the military and spending the American's tax dollar? The Bush administration and the rubber stamp he was given over the last 6 years shows the unwillingness of the Republicans to evaluate themselves and understand and respect the powers given to them by the constitution of the United States of America.

Anyone who can't see how divided American's have become while the Republicans were in power, will probably continue to desperately cling to the GOP and the lack of things they stand for, but fortunately for Americans many, voters are coming around back to reality, and want a government of smarts, ethics and moderation they know they'll only get by voting for moderates, DNC Reps, and true Independents.
