I have this crazy theory that the Corporate owned Media has a tendency to promote the Corporate agenda.
And someone they perceive as a threat to profits they would smear (an environmentalist for example).
Pretty whacko hugh?

carsteea - MSSION ACCOMPLISHED - We caught bin Laden in Iraq right? He was in that garage with the WMDs hiding under the Ford F-150.

The shrub was warned about bin Laden but wanted Saddam instead. Wrong choice, wrong direction

I think it's ok to let the Republicans cheat in elections (although 2000 and 2004 was a bit excessive).
Because, let's face it, without the cheating they wouldn't stand a chance.
So it's kind of like a handicap, it levels the playing field a little bit.

mommajomma- where were you from 1992-2000? Don't you remember "Earth in the Balance", and how every mention of that book exposed Mr. Gore to ridicule and derision? Every time he tried to say or do anything regarding the environment, the MSM practically laughed him off the planet. Interesting how he turned out to be right, just a couple of decades before the rest of us.

It's this simple: mainstream media journalists are envious of Al Gore. Why? Because he is smarter than they are. And they hate that. It's that simple. Mainstream media journalists love candidates like George Bush and Ronald Reagan, who they can cast as bumblers and idiots, but who are actually smarter than they MSM gives them credit for. Mr. Gore would make an EXCELLENT president. As an independent who often votes for Democrats in the presidential elections, I refuse to support anyone like Hillary Clinton, who stands for and believes in nothing other than her own personal ambition. Very scary. Other Demos and Independents are catching on and also abandoning HC and going with others like Mr. Obama. Please Mr. Gore, run for president again. You would be great!

"So give George W. Bush credit. He may lie about counterproductive wars, destroy our reputation abroad, ignore Katrina victims, approve torture, blow up our balance of payments, ignore scientific evidence, undermine our Constitution and turn the Justice Department over to a collection of ideological hacks... At least he doesn't make Maureen Dowd think he wants to roll his eyes."
Great line. Yeah, I hate it when smart people seem to want to roll their eyes.

Regarding Global Warming, attacking the messenger instead of the message muddies the same waters we're trying to peer through to the truth, inconvenient or otherwise. That's why they do it.

Al is a great man and a wonderful American. We would be in a MUCH better position, if he was allowed to take the office he won in 2000. Instead of the Republican Kangaroo Supremes making the worst "decision" in all of U.S. history.

We would not be $9 trillion in debt, the rich would not have gotten even more filthy rich at the expense of everyone else. We would have prevented 9/11 and gone on to kill Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and would have not invaded Iraq without at least 300,000 INTERNATIONAL troops.

The country would be SO MUCH better off right now. It is a shame that evil won out and plunged us into darkness.

No mystery here,

The liberal media is in love with Hillary, and will bully anyone that may get in her way of becoming president.

...

And, if you think back to 2000 election, the media was bending over backwards in Al Gore's attempt to steal the election.

Gore is in good company.

There is something about the philosophy of social darwinism that causes many on the right to reflexively sneer at anyone decent.

They sneered at Christ too and mocked him and made him carry his own cross to be crucified.
