The Nation: Feminists Rescind Their Support For Former First Lady
- We can be sure that when Bush leaves office, he will eventually write a book and saying that "God made me do it" sort of nonsense. He would go on a speaking circuit (they all do, anywhere) and make millions from his mistakes. He would get misty eye all over the deaths and destructions he had caused but would ask for forgiveness, being a "born again Christian" that most gullible would buy. Meanwhile, the deaths and destructions continue and it would be none of Bush business anymore, because he would be just Citizen Bush, like you and me but loaded with cash.

- Someone should ask Hilly about her relationship with Marc Rich.

You are very very misguided if you believe Slick Willie was the best president in the U.S. Slick Willy was the one that signed this country away (Just like Billary will). Willy helped us with free trade (that has worked out so well with China (How many billions in deficit are we???)). Plain and simple, I don't care what gender our president is, but the Clinton clan I am totally against. I wish we would move her to Canada just so we could get rid of her.
As for what the rest of the world thinks of us, I could care less. I would love for the U.S. to pull OUR money out of all the other countries. Then we could see how well they stand on their own, and we could invest the money where it needs to be HERE IN THE USA.
As for the universal health care, I do believe we should fund some type of universal health care for the masses, but we should still have the choice to buy our own. That way the cost of the uninsured would be subsidized, rather than at the whim of XYZ hospital and I understand why the Canadian physicians are running to the U.S. SO THEY CAN MAKE SOME REAL MONEY. - Reply to this comment
- The major advantage Obama has over Hilly is that Obama is willing to learn from his mistakes.
Hilly can't learn from her mistakes because she never admits to making any. And, she already knows it all, so what is there for her to learn?
If you thought Bozo Bush was a horrible president, elect Hilly and you'll see what horrible really is.
Bush is going to endorse Hilly just so he won't be the worst president in American history. If Hilly is elected, Bush will be the 2nd worst president in US history.
Fortunately, Hilly has no realistic chance of winning a national election. (assuming the election is not rigged)
As an aside, the only thing worse than a Repub prez with a Repub controlled congress is a Dem prez with a Dem controlled congress.
I'm voting for Mickey Mouse. - Reply to this comment
- I think one of the reasons that people distrust the Clintons is that they are shamelessly into power and money now. This is different than they seemed to be back when we elected Bill.
We discover that Bill has made $10 million speaking to various interest groups including the National Association of Realtors and the Mortgage Banker's association of America. He rakes in somewhere between $250,000 and $400,000 for a two hour speech. At the same time, Hillary crafts a bill in Congress called the "21st Century Housing Act."
By a very strange coincidence, on her own web page Hillary has glowing quotes about her bill from the head of the National Association of Relators AND the Mortgage Banker's association. John Robbins -- Chairman MBA: "We believe your bill will make the changes necessary to ensure that FHA continues its good work in partnership with the mortgage lending community to achieve our joint goal of providing affordable housing and financing."
Isn't it odd that two groups who have paid Bill Clinton hundreds of thousands of dollars are excited by one of the few pieces of legislation that HIllary has introduced?
The Democrats who are concerned about Hillary realize that she is the best hope for the Republican party. This sort of ammunition is lying around, and the Republicans are just holding their fire until she has the nomination. - Reply to this comment

"Why would we ever move to Canada? We live in the best place to live in the world."
Are you kidding me?
First off, we wouldn't want you here in Canada. You people have screwed up your own country, we surely don't want you *** up ours.
And I don't know how you can consider it the best place to live, maybe if you lived in Iraq or some other poor country, you might think that.
But let's get serious, you have people that can't afford to go to the doctor. You have people dying. Your hospitals are dropping poor people off on skid row to get rid of them. You have to shop around to find someone that isn't scamming you on your medications. You are all running around with guns to protect yourselves from other people that are carring guns. You call this the best place to live? YIKES! - Reply to this comment
- All's you have to do is look at Michigan to see what Hillary's "feminist" problem will translate into. Jennifer Granholm has presided over one of the worst economic periods in Michigan's history, and women overwelmingly reelected her, even crossing party lines to do so. If Hillary gets the nomination, she will get the majority of the female vote (not just the majority of Democratic women voters, but all women voters) just like in Michigan. Hypocracy is hypocracy; gender bias is gender bias, but women will claim it's just because "there, now you know what it's like to be discriminated against". Well, yes ladies, now I do: and so I've voted for my last female candidate for dog-catcher or higher. Except Condi, who I would be proud to vote for.

- It may be unfair, but I can never forgive Hillary for her smarmy, snarky comment ". . .I could have stayed home and baked cookies. . ." Never. I thought of my mother, who did stay home and bake cookies. And washed and ironed and scrubbed floors and volunteered and packed Daddy's tin lunch box every day for 30 years and raised 5 healthy, law-abiding children on a pipefitters wages. Hillary doesn't have a clue about the real lives of working class women. Never did. Never will, not with that attitude. I will never forgive Hillary and never vote for her. Never.

- Lifeguardmom - I agree. Nice nickname too ;-).
Regarding the Clinton "marriage" - you were right on. I have read many books on Hillary from both a conservative and liberal bent. Most of these books say that the Clinton marriage is more like a business partnership rather than a marriage. I mean, come on now! Secret Service has already had to tell Bill to curtail his "extra curricular activities" during Hillary's run for President. Let's get real people. She knows he's a horndog and won't divorce him because it wouldn't be good for her.
Besides, I think it's Bernstein's book that states that they made an agreement in the early 80's that he'd be President for 2 terms, then she'd run and she'd get 2 terms. They've had this all planned out for decades. They are control freaks who need to be in charge.
And enough about Europe and Canada not like the US. America sends BILLIONS in financial aid to Canada and all of Europe. What would happen if we pulled out our financial support of these countries? If that did happen, all of a sudden we'd be welcomed with open arms like a long lost cousin. Money talks.....
I think we are ready for a woman president. Personally I think we are overdue. But Hillary Clinton is NOT the one. I too think she'd send this country right down the crapper. - Reply to this comment
- If Hillary doesn' make it there, she could come to Canada.
I think the reason that you guys are so ignorant is that you are very self-centered. In your schools you only study YOURSELVES. Whereas other countries learn about OTHER countries, as well as their own. I have heard an American say they didn't even know what country Nova Scotia was in. I have heard many times an American say they thought that we all live in igloos! That is called IGNORANCE. We are your neighbors. The word that I have heard most often to describe the U.S. is "arrogant".
I am not meaning to be nasty but I believe that people should know how they are thought of. If it was just one or two countries that thought that you could maybe brush it off, but it isn't. - Reply to this comment
- If America's voting system can be manipulated to enable a fool to be in office, what's wrong with Hilary? On any given day, she is a lot smarter than that thing in the WH. The voting public must be taught not to expect too much from their politicians, because all of them, and I mean ALL OF THEM can be "purchased" regardless. After all, the US has the most corrupt political environment in the world, the only difference is in the terminology. It is called "lobbying" or "special interest group." I take Hilary or for that matter anyone out there rather than that bunch of rubbish in the WH.

- A woman voting for a woman ONLY because of her gender is just as bad as a black voting for a black because s/he's a black, a Jew voting for a Jew because s/he's a Jew, an Irishman voting for an Irishman..., etc.
Women, WE CAN DO BETTER! Yes, we'd love to have a woman President. Unfortunately, the front-running female for that job right now, is NOT the person for the job.
Do we want our first female president to be the moral equivalent of the Washington, DC Mayor Marion Barry? Did he make it any easier for blacks to be elected?
Think about it.
Women not only CAN do better at finding a good woman to be president, but we MUST! If Rodham Clinton gets elected to the White House, the damage she will do will destroy any chance of another woman in the White House for the next 50 or more years. - Reply to this comment
- The Dems would be making a huge mistake in nominating her instead of Obama. Hillary is unelectable in the national election. The hate for Bill and the fact that she is a horrible dull personality and a women will kill any chance she has against Romney,Mccain, and especially Rudy.
If Rudy wins the repblican nominatino, and she wins the democrat nomination, it wont even be a close race, she will lose by 6 to 8 points. - Reply to this comment

- As a feminist I can never support HRC. I stiil find it frightening, disheartening and disappointing to know how she treated the women who were involved with her husband. His willing sexual partners and the victims of his sexual assault and sexual harassment were all further tortured by Hillary Clinton as she defamed them, intimidated them, sicced sleazy private detectives on them, and did everything within her power to destroy them. These things are all a matter of public record, although mainstream media is loathe to report on it. I think it's pretty obvious to anyone paying attention that this individual (regardless of her gender)has an almost psychotic drive to attain personal power. Can anyone tell us exactly what compelling, positive, personal trait she has that makes her stand out as a leader? What is she good at, other than propelling herself and her husband into power and money-making ventures for their own personal wealth? Sure, now we'll hear, "...well George Bush didn't..." This isn't about GWB, or Republicans, or Democrats. It's about a person who I believe would do ANYTHING to gain power, just to feed some personal issues that aren't healthy.

- Hillary Clinton has no realistic chance of winning a national election.
Supporting Hillary is a waste of energy. Giving her money is a waste of money.
In the unlikely event Hillary was elected, she would do to the "feminist movement" what George Bush has done to the Republican party.
Hillary Clinton is a masculine George Bush. - Reply to this comment
- I gave up on Hillary a long time ago. She was supposed to be a feminist. Then she came out slinging mud at the women her husband raped. She called them "trailer trash" and right-wing nut cases. What a loser she is.

And just who in the he!! did he rape? When was he charged because I missed that one. How much time did he receive? What a loser you are! - Reply to this comment
