What we should really be looking at is just how many women voted for George Bush because they thought somehow he could be commander in chief, thereby selling their votes to protect their behinds. Well, the chickens have come home to roost and the myth that one can count on women to somehow vote in new and more humane ways is out the window. We're all screwed.

I'd say you should worry about your own, and a little less about ours... Can you say "Adscam", or "Sponsorgate". I'm pretty sure it was the Conservatives who took over up their in Feb. 06... So what does that say about your precious liberal poloticians...

If Hillary gets elected, can we ask her to return all the furniture she stole from the White House? What about the computers they broke as they left? Seeing as how they are now rich...as in Mark Rich......pay up!

I think because you are so used to living in a corrupt country you think that all countries are corrupt. I am not saying that we do not have corruption, but nothing that compares to yours. For starters you need to get a new voting system.

The more I hear about the dislike for Hillary because of her marriage problem, the more inclined I am to vote for her. Sounds like the name "Clinton" is the only name that the republicans hate.(note: "not dislike, HATE")

Marriage problems have nothing to do with why we republicans dislike Hillary. She and Bill are nothing but snake oil salesmen. Honestly, I have a heck of a lot more respect for Obama than Hillary. At least he stands true to his beliefs and doesn't waver. Why would you dems vote for Hillary over Obama, he is a true liberal.

Also I remember my relatives saying they had bullet proof windows in their car just incase someone should shoot at them or something.
WOW, what a life!

Do they live in Detroit? I've never heard of anyone having bullet proof windows; I can see why you'd think things are bad here. Really, I don't know your family's experience but mine has been great. Just like anywhere, there are good places and bad; I'd say there are definately more good though. Try visiting the Carolinas, New York City and of course Chicago...I think you may just change your mind. If you don't mind me asking, where have you been in the US?

Again you have proved my point in how screwed up and corrupt your country is.

I feel very sorry for you. I think it is time for you people to stand up and DEMAND some changes.

I hate to break the bad news to you, since you appear to be a Pollyanna, but all elections are rigged. It is not unique to the US.

Elections were invented by the rich and powerful with agendas precisely so they could control the outcome of elections.

I was a political activist for many years and I found that DEMANDING anything only resulted in being shown the nearest exit or ignored.

Politics is little different than selling used cars. It relies on deception and persuasion.

Which is the purpose of campaigns and campaign advertising (financed by the aforementioned special interest groups).

I'm voting for Mickey Mouse.

...and I understand why the Canadian physicians are running to the U.S.SO THEY CAN MAKE SOME REAL MONEY."

Most of the physicians that left have come back. And the reason they left wasn't the money. And if it was for some, it was because they have the U.S. mentality: GREED.

Who is crazier. The neocons who think Iraq was involved with 9-11 or the left wing nuts who think bombs brought down the world trade center buildings, not planes.

Billary is unelectable. Partly because she is a Clinton, Party because she hasn't accomplished anything in her life besides marrying Bill but mostly because she is going to get crushed in live debates and by tv adds and will bring the middle back to the republicans. If republicans were smart, they would make sure she won the Dem nomination, then victory for the Republicans would be a sure thing!! =-)

And of course if Hillary should win, it MUST be because it is rigged! NOT! hahahahaha

As a practical matter, nearly all important US elections are rigged.

They are rigged by special interest groups that use their money and power to influence the outcome of elections. If you don't have the backing of special interest groups, you will not win a US election of any importance.

If Hilly can rig the election more effectively than her opponents, she will win. But, whoever wins will have rigged the election (by virtue of the aforementioned special interest groups).

There is no way Joe or Jane Schmuck can win a US election without the support of special interest groups, regardless how qualified he or she may be.

We have the best representatives money can buy. But, they do not represent "we, the people," they represent "we, the rich and powerful with an agenda."

I'm voting for Mickey Mouse.

erasmus6,

You are so right.
What bothers me is that these neo-cons say, "Knowing what they know today, they would still go into Iraq...." That really bothers me. A good number of them still believe that Saddam had something to do with 9/11. I am not trying to point fingers but this portion of the electorate cannot be helped. There is nothing we can do to educate them. They are the Bush-bots. They will follow him to the end of the cliff if required and then use Christianity to mask the whole process. I am not a Bush basher but I have no respect for anyone who cannot see a failed policy and then call it one.

I too have relatives who live in the U.S. And from them and from the comments on this website I have learned many other things. Like how much prejudice there is there.I am not saying we do not have that here, but NOTHING like what you have there.
And when I talked about how ignorant people are there, I learned that for myself because I have been to the States many times.
Now as for the scenery is the U.S.-GREAT!

Also I remember my relatives saying they had bullet proof windows in their car just incase someone should shoot at them or something.

Besides, we all know some republicans are donating money to the Obama camp knowing fully well that he will not win after getting the nomination. It is the same Libermann playbook: Use Obama to get rid of the real threat, "Hillary"

I realize that when people are criticized they will go on the defensive. That is too bad because your country is slowly going down the tubes because you choose to live in denial. When you finally wake up it will be too late.

"American sends billions in financial aid to Canada and all of Europe" posted by mamaguard

Hahahahahaha, that is a joke! You people really do have blinders on. If I recall, not long ago, on this very website, I read that that the U.S. has borrowed major bucks from Japan and China.

So what is the U.S. doing? Borrowing the money from Japan and China (and who knows who else) so they can give it to other countries? hahahahaha
You are very funny!

Typical Canadian view...funny. You've got it all wrong my friend. I've visited Canada, have relatives in Alberta; while I enjoyed it there very much I still love my country more. It's really a shame that you don't appreciate our country as we do Canada. Your loss I suppose. I really wish you all could look past the propaganda on the news because ,really, what you see isn't what it's like here. Most of us are good, patriotic people living our lives in peace.

Health insurance rates are still outrageous. For the low end of the spectrum, people working at Min Wage, who dont get employer paid insurance (most of them) have to spend $240 + per month for insurance.

That over 25% of the income that person can take it. Single parents dont have a chance in this country.

Here is a summary of Hilly's "health care plan":

"Buy health care insurance or go to jail."

Not much of a "health care plan" for people making less than $50k per annum.
