- Yea, I dont have any respect for this self serving jerk either. He could opened his big mouth up a long time ago but now it's book time friends and nobody likes the war.
Congrats George. You helped the Republicans kill a bunch of people who didnt deserve it. How proud you must be. - Reply to this comment
- I haven't read his book, don't know if I will unless he donates the proceeds.
But I did see a lot of interviews and what glared at me was his statement "we got the WMD wrong".
May I ask anyone out there, when he prepared Powells' speech for the UN which included mobil chemical & biological labs, etc. :
what was the origin of this intel? who told them or how did they "disover" that mobil labs existed? - Reply to this comment
- Re: "But what he "really meant" is now far beyond the point."
Form what I understand, Tenet is now claiming that his "slam dunk" did not mean that the legal case against Iraq was a "salm dunk", but that it would be a "slam dunk" ploy to fool the American public into allowing an illegal, horrific, and disasterous war of aggression against Iraq.
If this is true, then this point seems to move Tenet's involvement in the Bush Cabal, over from the incompetence category, firmly over into the treasonous category. This seems like one of the most important points of all.
At any rate, we can't help but notice that Saddam was hanged, while people like Tenet, Feith, Wurmser, Perle, Wolfowitz, Ledeen, Kristol, Rumsfeld, and Cheney, remain on the loose.
It just doesn't add up. - Reply to this comment

- "The question is not which president (Clinton) originally appointed the man to a high government office. The question devolves to for which president's policies (Bush's) did the man intentionally bias his agency's reports resulting in a false justification for an illegal war being peddled to the american people.
Tenet may have been placed on the team by Bill but he was carrying George's water."

It's funny then that he told both Bill and George the same thing. How did George Bush get Tenant to fix the intel while Clinton was president?
It's clear to anyone who ever worked in the intel field that the intel was not "cherry picked" or "fixed". The informations was incomplete (lacking good humint) and the entire world community (The Russians, French, Germans, Chinese, British and the UN) believed that Saddam had WMD. They were wrong. Get used to it. Intel can be wrong. It isn't because they wanted to mislead you, but that people can jump to the wrong conculsions, espacally when they don't have all of the facts. - Reply to this comment

- Why are these criminals still walking around freely?
Now THAT is a good question. Any president who deliberately fabricates a pretext for leading a nation into war is guility of T-R-E-A-S-O-N. The same is true of the other officials, elected and appointed, who assisted him.
I knew Bush was lying in 2003...you could hear it in his voice and see it in his eyes. Tenet is no better and his pathetic attempt to rewrite history and cleanse his image with this ridiculous book is just another insult to the American people. - Reply to this comment
