What should we impeach Bush for? It's a reasonable question, with so many choices.

- For ignoring information passed to his administration from the previous about Al Queda, and threats from them.
- For letting a bunch of Saudis fly out of our country after 9/11, when no other planes were allowed to fly, and we didn't know if they might be terrorists or not.
- For letting Bin Laden slip through his fingers in Afghanistan.
- For neglecting the war in Afghanistan against the enemy that did actually hit us, to go to another unnecessary war.
- For lying about the evidence of WMD in Iraq
- For exposing CIA operations to our enemies (treason, if there ever was any!)... and only for the purpose of concealling his lie about WMD!
- For getting us into war without asking Congress (many presidents have, and it's time that stops!).
- For playing political games with Katrina, whether directly, or by decimating FEMA.
- For obstructing justice - not by some little lie about his private life, but by firing prosecutors investigating corruption!
- For stating outright that he doesn't believe in nor wish to be bound by the Constitution - separation of powers is what we are based on!

Terrorist are not associated with any State, that's the problem with a traditional war declaration and that's why the war powers debate rages on! Based on the current rules, the U.S. can only declare war against another State! Bush has declared war on terror! That's the problem and so the U.S. is at war by President Bushs definition! The U.S. will have to change the rules to allow a war declaration against non-States and in the mean time President Bush has war powers until the issue is resolved and he'll probably be out of office before the issue is resolved!

Vietnam was not technically a war either.

Technically we are not at war. War was never declared. Therefore Bush does have to answer as if we were at peace, not just when it suits him.

Like I said Bill was not impeached, and Bush wont be. He has done nothing wrong.

HUH! I'm not sure how you can say that Bush has done nothing wrong! When was the last time he did something Constitutional?

sainethepain,

Clinton WAS impeached. The Senate fell just shy of enough votes to throw him out of office. If Bush is impeached, this Senate will not have enough votes either. And THAT is the sad reality of this whole mess.

Simply put President Bush thinks as a war time President the normal rules don't apply to the President during times of war. The war debate while no one likes it has not been successfully defeated and so far the President is winning that argument! The U.S. is at war and Presidents have special war time powers! President Bush is being judged in a peace time context, but in a war time context the U.S. President with war powers can pretty much do whatever he pleases! TRUE.

That would probably be true for anyone who isn't a Bush cronie! I do know that this country can't take much more of this garbage.
