Actually, this was constantly being challenged, that was the original line of right wing thinking. The evolution of the talking points goes like this:

Climate change isn't happening

When that stopped working it became

Climate change is happening, but it's not man made

The next evolution will be:

Climate change is happening, it IS man made, but we can't do anything about it.

Or, climate change is happening, it IS man made, but it's too late to do anything about it.

Mr. Gore says one thing in his docu-drama but lives something totally different. If Mr. Gore REALLY believed what is in his docu-drama, then why doesn't he take his own advice regarding reducing his consumption, restricting his travel, making his mansions as energy efficient as possible, (or better, tearing them down and planting trees.) He sure doesn't live like he's very worried about the planet's future.

Instead every time he beats the drumbeat of Global Warming Hysteria, he drives the stock and investments of his company GIM up which puts more money in his pocket. And YOU KNOW that there are 'legit' scientists out there saying that his movie exagerrates and only chooses the worst-case scenarios, and is misleading.

If you don't think Mr. Gore is 'totally corrupt' then you are very gullible.

getcentered, actually most "experts" thought the world was flat when it in fact wasn't. No one is challenging the fact that climate change is real, the debate is the extent to man's causing it. You and your kind thing it's the GOP who disagrees, meanwhile it's international scientists. Your kind is a far greater threat to the world than skeptics.
