We might have our worst fiction writer ever right in front of us. Eisenhower never went to bat for black people? The rest of his nonsense is no better. Jimmy Carter is a great human being, but the worst President by far in my lifetime. He had the worst unemployment, the worst inflation, the highest interest rates, the highest tax rates, and shortages of gas sugar coffee wheat, and more that I can't remember during his adminstration. He ran for reelection in -80 on that platform that only increased unemployment could cure the double digit inflation of the day. He did that while our American Embassy staff sat in Tehran, held hostage by "students" and an American Administration that lacked the will to rescue them. If Carter had handled that in any half way competent manner, the world would be a very different place today.

By far, George Bush is the worst president this country has had. He is arrogant, righteous, and incompetent. It will take many years before the U.S. has credibility and admiration from the world. People in the New Orleans area are not getting anything from insurance for their horrific damages. Yet, the U.S. can spend trillions on a war that shouldn't have been.

Bush has done nothing to hurt miltant islam. His main legacy is attacking one of the very, very, very few middle eastern countries that was NOT infested with militant islam and terrorists!

No matter how often he likes to slyly mention Iraq and 9/11 in the same sentence, the fact remains that Saddam Hussein always was AlQueda's enemy, not in the least, not in any way, their ally. They hated him for having a secular government - based on Saddam as a dictator to be sure, but with nothing at all to do with militant islam!

Afghanistan and the Taliban - they're our enemies. Saudi Arabia had and may well still have the madrassas and clerics turning out terrorists and militants with government support, including our 9/11 hijackers and plenty of donations to AlQueda. Iraq was involved in none of it.

I honestly believe that those who post here in support of this administration suffer from mass denial. They are in denial that they are in part, responsible for voting for this president who, in spite of NO CREDIBLE EVIDENCE to support his "claims" that IRAQ had WMD, and that they were "behind" the attacks on the WORLD TRADE CENTER, THE PENTAGON, and the ATTEMPT TO TAKE OUT, WHAT? (THE WHITE HOUSE?)by the hijackers of PAN AM flight 93, that they are NOW responsible for the deaths of over 3120 of this country's FINEST and BEST young servicemen and women. These folks sold their VERY SOULS for permanent tax cuts promised them by BUSH and Co., and they now cannot bring themselves to admit nor accept their complicity in this, the greatest charade ever perpetrated upon the citizens of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. SAD. I wouldn't want to admit it either, IF I had been THAT STUPID/SELFISH! HOWEVER, AS ALWAYS, I VOTE DEMOCRAT.

I personally am no fan of our current President who I consider a dictator with a mental illness. (that is not a joke but my personal opinion as a retired nurse with a background in psych)However I think Warren G Harding may edge Bush out by just a wee bit. I was born and raised in San Francisco and grew up on stories of the "old timers" who all believe Harding committed suicide at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco when he found out he was about to be impeached.According to the official White House Bio he died of a heart attack while in San Francisco how ever I have seen the old news Papers which stated he died of Food poisoning after an autopsy was done. I also talked to people who were at the Palace Hotel at the time of his death as well as a nurse who was working in the Emergency room at San Francisco Emergency hospital when he was brought in by ambulance. If the stories are true as many, who have long since died, believed (I was not there so I do not really know for sure)then we only know the tip of the iceberg so to speak as to the corruption in his administration as after his death there was a massive cover up.

I support our president. I always have. Even while I was out in the street protesting his war of choice. The more succesful he is, at least as far as foreign affairs go, the more succesful the country is.
Support doesn't mean that I have forfeited the right to object to what he does. I beleive he has chosen a direction for our country that is nothing short of disastrous. I am certain he is in the pocket of the very rich and he does their bidding through the electoral power of the religious right. The combination of Bush, his very rich benefactors and the religous right represent the true axis of evil.
