We can't use wind power(kennedy doesn't want to look at it). We haven't built any new nuclear plants in 20yrs. We can't pursue the oil shale in the Rocky's. We can't open more wells in ANWR.(gas or oil) Meanwhile Mexico is sinking wells in their part of the gulf at record pace, knowing we can't. AND WHY IS THAT?????? LIBERALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why should Iran and Syria talk to us? What with the division within the U.S. and the European Union who hate us almost as much as the Islamists, tell me one good reason why Syria and Iran should want to?

Iran has snubbed their nose at the UN security council, yet you ask why we don't talk with them. They are the ones in violation, not us. Syria has been a renegade country that freely sponsors dacronion acts of terror against other countries. Why should the U.S. lend legitimacy to these tinpot dictators? Quick answer, we shouldn't.

Here's how it would go........we talk with them in good faith, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the hostilities. They test our good faith by launching terrorist actions against Israel, or letting more fighters into Iraq, etc. If we oppose that, we are called inflexible by such beacons of freedom as Cuba. That's how talking in today's world goes.

We are alone in this world. Even the UK is filled with enough sanctimonious liberalism that the civilized world will retreat from this effort

Every politician and political analyst is saying that while the Congress doesn't like sending more troops to Iraq, there isn't much they can do about it! Whatever happened to the constitutional right that only Congress can declare war? If the Democrats can't do anything about "Bushy, Bushy"'s escalation, then why were they elected in the first place? If they really can't do anything, then how about doing something they still can do: IMPEACH THE ARMCHAIR GENERAL!!!

I kindly disagree that Al Qaeda won't stay in Iraq if we pull the troops, because the real reason Al Qaeda wants to kill Americans is because of our imperialist quick-strike tactics against Islamic countries like Iraq who were never harboring WMDs or intending to destroy "the great Satan" in the first place. These people hate and want to kill us because of our policies and our questionable support for the bully Israel. America needs to mind it's own business and start spending our billions wasted on these wars and on Israel on alternative fuels and technologies that will ultimately bankrupt the middle east when we no longer require their oil. But of course Bush and company with their oil interests and connections to the Saudis will have no part of that. Wake up and look at your own government for once. America has created many of its own problems and enemies. Further aggression and war is not the answer. Look how well that has served Israel for decades. Can we look beyond 9/11 for once at the REAL reasons Al Qaeda and their kind hate us? Do you see anyone blowing up Canada or Australia? Our government's policies are wacked. Bush asked if the Democrats had any better solutions than further war. Well, it starts by placing blame where blame lies, and stop meddling in the affairs of other nations. America is one nuclear terrorist away from changing life as we know it. We all know Bush's war can't stop that person. Only significant policy change can. Leave them alone. Disengage.
