Letterman is a hero for NOT allowing this sleaze to blackmail him, but instead went to the police and confessed his transgressions on TV immediately. By the way moron, Letterman was NOT married when he had the affairs.

I never was an avid Letterman fan. However, I despise blackmailers and extortionists; and my opinion of Letterman went way up when he had the courage to face the public and confess his choices. All persons who are in the position of thinking they have to pay off blackmailers and extortionists should put a halt to it and follow Letterman's confession example.

Gullible females? What makes you think they were gullible? You think they are stupid and didn't know what they were doing? I would say that they were out for what they could get, as well.

And why on earth would you think of it as blackmail? I don't recall any of the women coming forward saying that they were pressured into having sex with him in order to keep there jobs.

what gullible females ... the ones he gave jobs to ... the ones who forwarded their television careers via opportunities that he provided?

which one of the gullible females has sued him for sexual harrassment ... which one has come out publicly saying that he took advantage of them? include references for all your claims.

why do you assume it was he who was taking advantage? could it not be that these woman saw an opportunity for their own advancement ... by favoring their boss in whatever way they felt was appropriate?

Not only to conservatives and republicans, but also conservative democrats, conservative libertarians, and conservatives of no particular political affiliation.

Also it is only harassment if one party feels forced to participate, and i don't remember hearing anyone in Letterman's case stating so.

you look really stupid when you make claims about things you know nothing about. and you look completly ignorant ... and likely are ... when you show you see everything thru an ideological lens.

sexual harrassment requires one key criteria ... and in a word ... it is 'unwelcome'.

how many of these woman whom he has had relationships with have claimed an 'unwelcome' advance from him?

It is not unwelcome until Letterman states he is running as a republican, then the women will all be pushed to claim harassment by the NOW and other groups.

One question josephp5 - if you had a beautiful wife, would you allow her to work for Letterman? That answer tells everyone what type of husband you are. My answer is not in a million years. Leno - Yes. Letterman - Never.
