Even today I was looking online about Thomas Dolby and Howard Jones. And, I have never run across anyone any more talented than Kevin Gilbert. I believe that he was an absolute, true genius. The original "Toy Matinee" is my all-time favorite album...even ahead of The Beatles, Steely Dan, etc...Yes, Sheryl did ride his coattails into stardom. It was shameful how she refused to credit him with much of anything (much less her whole career). No doubt if it weren't for Kevin...she'd still be sleeping around trying to get noticed...every night...after she finished her $60 a night gig at some smoky, lizard infested Holiday Inn lounge somewhere.
