It is indeed possible to die from seizures. It is called SUD. Sudden Unexpected Death. It is usually caused from seizure status (one seizure after another).

My son is 25 yrs old and has had seizures most of his life. He has had to be resuscitated a number of times.

He also has Autism. Seizures and Autism are often present at the same time, but I certainly don''t believe that untreated Autism causes seizures. My son has been treated for Autism for years, yet the seizures continue.

Whatever the reason for his death, Jett Travolta is gone, and I am sure his parents are grieving terribly.

My prayers are with them.

God would not harm an innocent child ~ lady_organs why say something so ridiculous. the sins of the father are not visited upon the innocent children, that was broken with Jesus Christ 2000 years ago.

the sad part of this is whether and how long Jett was suffering alone. that is the part that breaks my heart ~ for him, and for his parents.

...if people expressing views different from you upset you so, perhaps you should go to the Disney website?

Differences of opinion are one thing. Stupidity is another.

I know nothing of the Travolta''s, not what their faith teaches nor of their son''s disorder. What I do know is about children who have seizures, as my child did until she was 6 years old. During these seizures you, as a parent, are helpless. All you can do is try to stop the child from further hurting themselves. Then come the emotions and frustrations. As loving as the Travoltas seem, I will not believe they did not do everything possible to help this child. Shame on the negative feedback coming from some of you!

CBS this article should have been placed in HEALTH rather than ENTERTAINMENT.

According to a doctor on Nancy Grace last night Jett could not have died just from a seizure. However, I disagree with that b/c my daughter has seizures and I was told by doctors that she could live a long life span or die any time due to a seizure. What''s up with that? Can you die just from a seizure? I think so.

Now, back on topic. I didn''''t know that untreated autism causes seizures that could be fatal! Is this a fact or rumor?

There is a connection between autism and epilepsy; there is a higher risk for the development of epilepsy in autistic individuals. I don''t know about the fatal part though.

At the time of death, they are then cremated and, according to their belief, their spirits go to the nearest hospital and find a new born to inhabit. What a crock!!!

My heart goes out to this wonderful family. This has nothing to do with any God. This is just life and it''s imperfections. It is cruel and unfair but it is part of what we all deal with at one point or another whether within our own families or with people close to us. The Travolta''s had the chance to experience a truely lovely child which is more than some people get the opportunity to do. They are fortunate for that.

As I''ve said before "lady_organs": You need to donate your bloody organs to science (most notably your "brain") so research can be done to find out why you are so demented. Shame on you....are you related to Satan? It seems so!

It certainy is a tragedy when a child is lost. But Inside Edition treats this as the "Tragedy of the Century". A lot of families have lost children and don''t get this publicity. The Travolta''s are not any different than any other parents. It''s becoming sickening. So is Scientology.

Regardless of your religious beliefs - losing a child is such a tragedy. Many believers have also lost children but it doesn''t mean that God was punishing them. We live in a broken world and tragedies happen. My sincere sympathies to the Travolta family.
