It never ceases to amaze me of the lengths that people will go so they can feel like a victim.

I am not trying to insult you, merely expressing how your words appear to me, I am a kidder and picker since childhood, I cannot stop looking for the fun in life. I probably know or have heard every form of vulgarity in the English language (and a lot of foriegn ones also) It is my decision to refrain from using them without just cause. You have to live life the way you see it, I don''t have to agree with it nor do you have to agree with mine.

You know something, you may be right about bush in a way. I believe he is apolitical. I firmly believe he totally inept as a politican, not to mention, just plain DUMB. I also need to throw some rocks at Pelosi and Reid for not pushing for impeachment of bush for his total incompotence. I also believe his handler Karl Rove is the rightwing nut whose been pulling his strings the entire time he has been President. OBAMA? He is NOT A LIBERAL. He is middle of the road if anything. He''s the most intelligent politician I''ve seen in quite some time. I like everything I''ve seen and read about him. He''s a winner. He-ck, even some of the republican congressmen have endorsed him over McCain. That should tell you something about what others think of him. Yes, I believe OBAMA will make a fine President.

Freedom of speach and freedom to insult. Same thing. If you don''t like the humour, don''t see the movie. I can use whatever word I''d like and everyone should be able to. You can call me anything you want, they''re just words. I''m not easily offended.

I had high hopes for this film because of the comedians involved. I pray the jokes are not cheap shots at people with disabilities. It seems a lot comedies take the low road these days.

How can a movie insult someone who doesnt have enough nonretarded brain cells to understand that they are being insulted?

Humor has always been about making fun of people! Fatties, sissies, fairies, weetards, darquees, people with glasses, politicians, priests, idiots, morons, pirates, having fun is all about making fun.

Lighten up, people!!!

So go poke fun at a funeral, ridicule those that are not considered good looking, Rip the heart out of a Vietnam Vet by calling him ''Babykiller''. Surely watching someone weap from insults must give you great pleasure. But don''t expect everyone to share your view.

The point here is, if you look at Stephen Hawking, you cannot tell that his disability is due to ALS. I had two good friends die from it and know the disease very well. You missed everything I said. go back and re-read with a different mindset and see if you still want to belittle me. (I am also handicapped)

I am not a smart as the PHDs that sit around me. To me they are way ahead of me and seem to have total recall of what they do and see.

On the other hand I do better than most and am equal to many other.

you ask:
Do the intellectually disabled know they are such?

Answer:
You can only fool yourself so long BUT you either like and accept who you are or live a life never measuring up to who you think you should be.

The amount of brain power is something you are born with. How you use it is up to you.

Usually the most closed minded/selfish people you will see in your life are Holywood Democrats. They will not allow other view points to be spoken, they banish people that do not think like them, they usually don''''''''t care about others.

I haven''t seen any credible evidence of this mindset. But I have seen much from rightwingers in the available data documenting the violence they are willing to commit and in pushing for changes in the state constitution to force into law their viewpoints.

PCness has gone waaay overboard.------

Agree.. PC is so far overboard that we forget to have fun or make fun of ourselves.

A PC serious society can be a very boring one.
