Court: FCC Acted Aribtrarily By Fining CBS For Janet Jackson's Super Bowl Breast-Baring Stunt

Tell me, why do you believe in the Bible? I don''''t. But I sure do believe in God!
--------------------
Why believe in God if you don''t believe the Bible? How do you know what God is in the first place?
Sorry if it offends you that I believe in both God AND the Bible. Are you shocked to learn that such a thing is possible?
Golly, how many of us do you suppose there are. Why, there could be HUNDREDS of us... LOL!
BTW, you''re the one who asked. I was just answering your question. - Reply to this comment

So you''re one of those people who believe in the Bible. That explains everything. Tell me, why do you believe in the Bible? I don''t. But I sure do believe in God! - Reply to this comment
- It would appear that the majority of the pro-nudity posts are coming from individuals who are on the payroll of the company that benefited from this court decision.

How do you know God says anything about "not revealing our nakedness to each other outside of marriage"?
----------------
It''s in the Bible. Search an online Bible for the word nakedness. You''ll find it. - Reply to this comment
- See my post from 4:47 pm. I''m not wondering anymore.

- txgrouch2006,
How do you know God says anything about "not revealing our nakedness to each other outside of marriage"? I don''t think he, or she, or they say anything about that. After all, we were all born without any clothes. Is God a sinner for making us come into the world without any clothes on?
With regard to marriage. How do you know that God has any opinion on the subject? Do you get all your information about "God" from the "holy men of the lord" on TV? I''d rather watch Janet. - Reply to this comment

As for nobdehom, are you jeallous because you don''''t look like Janet Jackson? Believe me, I wish you looked like her too

Why, because she''s YOUR WIFE???
See if THAT gets censored. - Reply to this comment
- If she''''s so beautiful, then you wouldn''''t mind PAYING to see her nudity. And leave the free broadcast TV for children.
God may have "created" her, and He also told us NOT TO REVEAL OUR NAKEDNESS TO EACH OTHER outside of marriage. If you''''re going to lecture me about God, make sure you know ALL of His teachings.

I think we all make enough sacrifices for other people''s children. We pay taxes that subsidize their existence and pay for their education. A simple "thank you" would be sufficient. Why we have to censor what''s shown on TV for them, too, to the degree that Janet Jackson''s milkshake is deemed "offensive" is simply ridiculous. I notice from your other posting that you''re quite happy to have war machines glorified on TV. Shouldn''t you worry about the impact of those on your kids than Janet''s milkshake?
In terms of Janet''s milkshake, if you''re so prudish about it, press the "off" switch and leave the rest of us to enjoy the view.
And as for the FCC, I''m glad to see them slapped down. They''ve gone to the extreme right, since Bush appointees took over. This is good for the "freedom" we''re spending so much to "defend" in the illegal war. - Reply to this comment
- txgrouch2006,
How did you get to your last post? Your logic isn''t very sound. If you don''t like what''s being shown on TV, get rid of your TV set. You do have that right. I don''t like watching "holy men of the lord" preaching on TV, so I just don''t watch them. I don''t like watching some of the reality TV shows, so I just don''t. What''s the problem. You don''t hear me whining about it and demanding that a station be fined because they aired something offensive to me.
As for nobdehom, are you jeallous because you don''t look like Janet Jackson? Believe me, I wish you looked like her too, but, if you don''t, you don''t. Who cares if she''s had help with her appearance? It''s beauty either way. Look for your beauty on the inside. - Reply to this comment

- What about some justice? Last year as I was watching Fox they showed a woman who must of been 5ft1 and 500 pounds wearing skin tight spandex. After seeing that I went blind for about a half hour. Who can I sue?

- Who cares? Janet is a beautiful woman. God created her that way. I doubt anyone was really hurt by what happened. You people who can''''t accept God''''s art need to get a life and apologize to God for insulting his creation. As for me, I just give thanks for the beauty
I think she was created by the plastic surgeon BOZO don''t you know real from fake? - Reply to this comment

What on earth are some of you talking about?

So, what are you saying? That we''re too STUPID to be able to think about more than one thing at a time? Or that we should be CENSORED if we try to think about something when YOU think we should be thinking about something "more important?"

There you go! I want to see more of THOSE on TV! - Reply to this comment
- Honestly,
What on earth are some of you talking about? We have U.S. soldiers getting shot at in the Middle East, people starving in our own back yards, and a Federal and several State Governments who are spending way more money than they take in, and you people are concerned that a woman''s "private parts" got flashed on TV for less than a second?
So here we go again. Blame the "activist judges". Tell me I''ll be "the first one screaming bloody murder" if the FCC lets anything go on TV. Why don''t you just get rid of your TV sets and stop whining? If something offended me that much, that''s what I would do. - Reply to this comment
- FCC shoul ban Spandex on big women if they want to do something worth while.

That''s an idea! Keep all of those ''refrigerator with a head'' like Roseanne, Oprah, and Rosie off of TV.
