faith_in_W.....You really got me! I''m reading your posts about bush and cheney being war heros thinking,"this can''t be for real". Then I see your last one about them fighting on the front lines in Nam and I realized I had been had. George would have laughed his arse off over this one. So you win the "Gotcha Award" for today. Very funny!

The show kids show was called "Thomas the Train Engine" not "Thomas the Tank Engine". I watched that show for years and loved him as Mr. Conductor.

leftyintexas, ThinkHarder, you are both so wrong and have bad memoried. Bush and Cheney were the first in line to volunteer for service and bravely fought on the front lines. If not for their courage, we would have lost the Viet Nam war.

I can just hear him now, talking about his own death:
"Hey, it''s no big &%#$ing deal. We all gotta check outta this &%#$ing crappy place sometime. For me though, it mighta been just a little too &%#$ing soon, I thought I had a few more &%#$ing years left. Kicking the &%#$ing bucket was a big &%#$ing surprise, I''ll tell ya that; and, for me, I always thought that a surprise was a &%#$ing *** with a lump in it." lol

Godspeed George Carlin.

Bahahaha

What the hell does that mean anyway? What is the speed of god? Kinda fast I guess. Is that faster than ludicrous speed? And why do we want dead people to move fast anyway? Does it make for less stink?

I''ll definately miss him. I''ve watched him for over 30 years and he''s never disappointed me. I agree with his views of comedy a good 97% of the time, but hey, he was human and a GREAT one at that. RIP, Mr. Carlin. You truly were one of the GREATEST.

He was okay, but Red Skelton was 10 times funnier and he didn''t SWEAR to get his laughs.

George Carlin never said anything about his beliefs in God. What he said was that religion was the reason people feel guilty about their own sexuality and bodies. I agree with him, God created us the way we are for a reason.
But don''t call Mr Carlin an athiest or something he was or was not without knowing the facts.
George was a hilarious man with a God given Talent.
Peace be with you George. May Almighty God Bless thee and Grant Eternal Rest unto thee, +

Indeed you are, and continue to demonstrate as such. Who brought Bush into this conversation again? Speaking of toe-tappin?

You bush losers are the exact kind of people George was always poking fun at. That''s he is so well liked by the rest of us. He will be missed. bush won''t. Neither will his supporters.

Hey Missy...

Politics aside, some of Carlin''s best material over the years was based on religion. I think he would enjoy the debate.

RIP brotha!

I did not think he was funny at all.

But I will give him credit for breaking rules and opening doors for other people in comedy.

..............

Understandable, comedy is extremely subjective, like tastes in ice cream!

The first time I saw George he was doing the "Hippy Dippy Weatherman" on some TV show back in the 50''s. I was just a kid but I remember LMAO and I was hooked from then on. This man had a special gift that helped me look at the world in a slightely different way. One of the greatest gifts is the gift of laughter and George was a master. I will miss him very much. After reading the posts on here it occours to me that religion teaches love and forgiveness. Didn''t see much of that from some of you. Whatever way you choose to view the world is your business, not mine. I do not make rude snotty remarks about those of you who are believers. Good for you if it brings you peace. It took years for me to reach the point where I could admit to myself that I was an atheist. I am not evil and I live a wonderful life. I am not filled with hate nor do I wish anyone harm. I find it odd that if someone finds out about my beliefs the first thing out of their mouths is "you must worship satan". What a stupid statement that is. If you don''t believe in the existance of an invisible man in the sky how could you possibly believe in an invisible man in the ground. I admired George because he had the guts to say how he felt and he didn''t give a dam if you liked it or not. Bye George, love ya.
