Long-Time Counterculture Funnyman Succumbs To Heart Failure In California
- Thanks for the memories - gosh I can go back to the "Hippy-dippy" weatherman - smart mind he had - I''ll miss ''em. His quotes made the best pass-around emails.
Condolences to his family from ours... - Reply to this comment
- He was a comedian and people laughed enough to keep him in a job. Sorry you passed sir, may not have liked all your humor, but what I did enjoy I loved....may the force be with you

- architekker: how about us conservative atheists?
- Reply to this comment
- Architekker....Why do you fear us so much? As an atheist I live my life just like everyone else does. I have never harmed anyone in my life and I do not go about trying to coerce others into believing as I do. I do not attack Christians or Jews or Catholics or anyone of faith. I respect your right to believe whatever you feel is right. I do not worship satan nor do I sacrafice small animals. So, why do you fear me? I am not a threat to you in any way. We just see things in a different way. I am not evil and if you met me you would not know what my beliefs were usless I chose to tell you. As a liberal, as odd as it sounds, I believe in compassion for my fellow man and that I am my brothers keeper. Things that Christians say they believe in too. I believe in freedom and justice for all. What''s so bad about me?

- George Carlin was (and is) wonderful. His videos available on YOU*TUBE (Its Bad for Ya) pretty much say it all. His book Brain Droppings was the first book that had me laughing out loud from page to page. The guy worked hard up until a few days ago. I''ll miss him, but glad his legacy is lively.

- I did see the Life of Brian, I didn''''t much care for it. Or is that the World according to Brian? Supposedly a spoof on Jesus Christ, and his day.

- George Carlin never said anything about his beliefs in God. What he said was that religion was the reason people feel guilty about their own sexuality and bodies. I agree with him, God created us the way we are for a reason.
But don''''t call Mr Carlin an athiest or something he was or was not without knowing the facts.
George was a hilarious man with a God given Talent.
Peace be with you George. May Almighty God Bless thee and Grant Eternal Rest unto thee, +
