Well It''s good to see the rich suffer a litter, after turning their backs on all of the horrors with high fences and security guards. I''m sure you will have all the medications to go out comfortly. When the pain gets really bad, well then that''s the time to give your greatest perfomance pretending it don''t hurt a bit. Then there''s heaven or ashes. Just like a click of the light switch. Not much to it if you don''t let your ego in way.

WOW, I just read up on the survival rates and they''re not good. I will say a prayer tonight for the Swayzes! :(

I hope the optimism is founded in reality. I have never known anyone who survived pancreatic cancer. My grandfather, uncle, and several friends succumbed to it. I am not a Doctor nor will I pretend to be one. But I do know the survival rate from pancreatic cancer is very low. Let''s hope for the best, but I have my doubts about the optimism expressed in this article. Good luck Patrick Swayze.

Godspeed to Patrick and his family because they have a rough, long road to hoe.

Why would you hoe a road? It''s a row, like a row of corn in a garden.

I am shocked to hear that Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed as having pancreatic cancer. I have been a fan for years...Dirty Dancing is my favorite movie of all time...I have probably watched it at least 50 times! I will keep you and your lovely Lisa in my thoughts and prayers. Keep the faith and look to the Great Physician...Good luck and God Bless!

justfacts2: Why talk when you don''t have any knowledge? Pancreatic cancer is NOT always fatal. To begin with, there are at least four main types of pancreatic cancer, and of those only one, adenocarcinoma, is what one might consider absolutely terminal.

Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer is a death sentence. I know everyone is trying to be optimistic, but optimism does not help with this cancer. It is ALWAYS fatal. I know from experience, my sister died from this horrible cancer. Now that we have managed to get colon cancer and breast cancer to where it is beatable, we now need to focus on pancreatic cancer. Remember, Michael Landon said he was going to beat it and it ended up taking his life a year later. Godspeed to Patrick and his family because they have a rough, long road to hoe.

I don''t know him personally but as far as actors go, he is one of the classy ones up there with the likes of Paul Newman. He never got caught in all the Hollywood fakeness, flakiness, shallowness, vanity or other temptations. I hope he comes through and beats this.
