It''s amazing, I come here to see what''s going on with Ms. Fonda and all I read is about freaking communism and "Hanoi Jane".
Gimme a fraking break! Can''t you people get over it?
The fight the US carried out against communist forces was simply way out of line which means anyone has a right to question it. There was no need whatsoever for the Vietnam War, the half century old embargo against Cuba, the support of all rightwing Latinamerican dictatorships, Apartheid South Africa, Apartheid Zimbabwe, Middle Eastern dictators and Kings, and so on.
All of these countries in the so-called 3rd World. Why didn''t the US invade Eastern European countries, or the USSR or China were supposedly all the arming and training came from?
What was the US doing chasing around all these small countries and indigent rebel forces who were reacting to a raw and primitive form of capitalism?
For people to be chasing communists ghosts to this day is simply insane.
Let it rest, man, let it rest. We have much bigger issues at home than an accused "communist sympathizer" cursing during a theathrical rendition.

Having someone at work attempt assault and calling me a *** has changed my life and the way I see those around me, in the same way as standing on Fifth Avenue and seeing a plane explode in the World Trade Center changed my life then.

For those who are spirtual, and for those who are not ... I have learned to understand the spirit and the intent of words and actions.

In this instance with the Today show, while an apology is appropriate, I do not think this was an instance of Hate.

The communists never flew two planes into the World Trade Center. Was it a communist who blew up the Federal building in Oklahoma City?

You sound like a "coffee shop" Marxist, Das Capital in one hand and a Star Bucks Gringo Blend in the other.

This generation does not remember Hanoi Jane broadcasting from North Viet Nam. Her acting career is done, she she go away quietly.

The communists were never our real enemy. We should never have gone into Vietnam. Who cares if it went communist? How did that affect the USA?

How many Americans did the Russian (USSR)communists kill? Stalin wasn''t a threat to the USA. He was a HUGE threat to the people of the USSR. Look at all the people he "purged."

Talented actress. "Klute", "On Golden Pond," "Julia." Pretty *** in her day. Great body back then.

A woman can''t use the "c" word? This is the end of Western civilization as we know it? People will never be able to recover from hearing the word. Very traumatic.

The stuff we worry about in this country. Oy. Congress holding hearings about steroids. Bush condemning "lynching" & "the noose." Please.
