The Fila dog is an extraordinary hunting dog, used for centuries in Brazil in hunting large game such as jaguars and wild boars. The Fila Brasileiro dog has no difficulty living in dense jungles.
the Fila has become the dog most preferred by the jungle combat units of the Brazilian Army.
The Fila remains docile, and the dog reacts only when confronted by some threatening gesture against its master. In dog temperament tests, using clubs and arms, the Fila is very aggressive.

Providing enough socialization. Of all breeds, Fila Brasileiros have the most extreme aversion to strangers. They need extensive exposure to friendly people so they learn to recognize the normal behaviors of good guys. Then they can recognize the difference when someone acts abnormally. Without extensive socialization, they may be suspicious of everyone, and in such a powerful and determined dog, this can be dangerous. Some Filas go in the opposite direction without enough socialization, they become fearful of strangers, which can lead to defensive biting.
# Animal aggression. Some Fila Brasileiros will not tolerate another dog of the same ***. Some have strong instincts to chase and seize cats and other fleeing creatures. If anything goes wrong in the breeding, socializing, training, handling, or management of this breed, it is capable of seriously injuring or killing other animals.

The strong temperament. Fila Brasileiros are not Golden Retrievers. They have an independent mind of their own and are not pushovers to raise and train. Some Filas are willful, obstinate, and dominant (they want to be the boss) and will make you prove that you can make them do things. You must show them, through absolute consistency, that you mean what you say.

Iceman- the dogs are Fila's from Brazil, these are attack trained guard dog type dogs not pets, these dogs are VERY strong and VERY difficult to manage, they are ten times harder than Rottweilers.
My guess is they were brought to the house to BE attack and guard dogs to protect the estate. The description of them includes;

Docile with his own family, he has an extreme distrust of and aversion to strangers and absolutely detests being touched by outsiders.
The Fila Brasileiro can shift into his fierce protector's role in an instant, moving with tremendous speed and athletic agility.

As the Roman historian put it, "Man is the Wolf of Man"

Actually it was the Roman poet Plautus who said, "H*omo homini lupus." ("Man is the wolf of man").

It takes a lot of nerve for the human species to be throwing stones at the canines.

Agnim, first- you are a clueless idiot, read the wikipedia page and it's references. Even REL Masters of Masters and Johnson in his book devoted an entire first chapter to it and concluded it was basically harmless.

"know the difference between healthy and sick behaviors, and their relative consequences."

There are no 'consequences' to it except in YOUR mind. HIV/AIDS is not possible to contract from a dog, nor are any of those HUMAN std's like VD. No flu, colds, staph infections, unwanted pregnancy etc. Offhand I'd say that speaks for itself.

'Sick' is jamming more and more people on this planet, 'sick' is piling more people in concrete highrises in artificial environments.

Lets not jump to contusions.

Most dogs are loyal and friendly as long as they aren't being starved, drugged or abused.

Man is the biggest killer of man. As the Roman historian put it, "Man is the Wolf of Man" -- the chief predator of man.

And it isn't time to get rid of Man, is it ?

"A 40-year-old man was mauled to death by as many as four dogs at the home of Ving Rhames on Friday, authorities said. The victim...was responsible for caring for the dogs"

This is weird. Why would the dogs suddenly attack their caretaker like that ?

Were they starving ? Were they being abused ?

There was more going on here than has been reported so far.

With a lowly evolved and beastly mentality, why should we expect your kind to know the difference between healthy and sick behaviors, and their relative consequences.

Suffice it to say, the mature cultures of the world have always had the wiser perspective on human behaviors; and none have ever supported these deviant and beastly acts.

It is time to get rid of the dogs; the good reasons they were 'created' by man in the first place are long gone now.

Agnim; 'sick' is relative and subjective, zoophilia as a matter of fact is only classified in the DSM lV manual as a paraphilia, not a sickness or disorder.
Dogs are better friends than people- no mind games, bullchit or lies, they are what you see.
