Comments on: Rosie Explains Controversial Photo
Image Of Her Child Wearing Ammo Belt Evokes Passionate Reaction On Blog
- I believe Rosie's explaination, it sounds a lot more credible than yours. Posted by kailumego1 at 11:32 AM : Jun 27, 2007
LOL. Yes. Everyone in the world can certainly see how Rosie, could go on an on for weeks about how the Price is Right is her dream job....and how she wants to take Bob Barker's place---only to realize AFTER a meeting with the Producers, that she does not need to work and besides....NYC is soooo much more wholesome than California. I mean.... to even think that Rosie's continual fights over magazines, talk shows and abruptly leaving each post after short tenures could possibly have anything to do with her not getting a job....How could that be credible? It is not as if employers need to look at a work history and behavior and see someone is a bad risk---right?
In some circles, Rosie could be a liability. Because she may be funny and entertaining, but face it, nobody wants one of Rosie's days when she is paranoid or yelling at the contestants and accusing them of being right wing ditto heads. The Price is right is supposed to be a continually upbeat, light hearted, trivial game show. Rosie can be accused of many things, but light hearted and upbeat/trivial are not among them. She just would not fit. Maybe the Producers shared that with her. Maybe not. But she is/was a bad risk. As for what you must believe--do as you please. You are obviously a dedicated fan. Not too bright or eloquent--but a trooper for Rosie nonetheless. LMAO. Have a nice day. - Reply to this comment
- I agree with toldyouso21 that Rosie didn't get the Price Is Right job because they didn't want her. And, for the people that are calling ME pro-gun, I am definitely NOT. Also, I am NOT a man, either. You need to stop being so stereotypical in your reading styles.
And, YES, I most certaining DID write my comments based on my point of view of ROSIE. It had NOTHING to do with the picture of her daughter, although the picture of her daughter just proves how delusional Rosie is.
Do a little research on your "Saint Rosie" and you'll see that she shouldn't be allowed near kids in the first place. If she had put listed all her mental illnesses on her adoption applications, she would never have been granted custody of any child. But, to Rosie, a little while lie is just a way of life.
To all the Rosie-lovers, I ask you this: WHY? What has this unstable, delusional, hypocritical liar ever done to deserve your praise for her? - Reply to this comment
- toldyouso21 you're in a delusion of grandeur, you wish that was the case. I believe Rosie's explaination, it sounds a lot more credible than yours. Speaking of "white trash", those who called her that are in no position to throw mud.
At least she has a constitution and is not a phony like most of you. And she did not call the soldiers terrorist, she was referencing this government, and how the Iraqi people viewed them, try "reading comprehension". You people possess "magical thinking", because you invent words, phrases, etc. that are simply not there.

Well... I certainly hope you are never presented as a representative of a Rosie fan--because neither intelligence or decorum are your strong point.
but to clarify: I never stated anything about Rosie and terrorism, and there is no such thing as being in "a delusion of grandeur" One can have delusions of grandeur...but that would mean I thought so highly of myself, that I felt I was like a God, King, Messiah or something. How you got that from 2 posts is interesting. (NOT)
I stated my opinion and based this on continual articles that Rosie was sooooooo interested, and even her own remarks that it would be a dream job... then the "uhmmmm you know what" moment after the Producer's meeting. But believe what you like. Anyone so wrapped up in another person's life that this means this much to you---you need all the extra curricular beliefs and fantasies you can get. lmao. - Reply to this comment

- I actually think Rosie won't be taking the Price is right job because they don't want her. With Rosie comes controversy, and a not so long stint at the helm before she self destructs yet again. I would bet the Producers told her that she was a risk such a stable show does not need to take and gave Rosie the permission to spin the non-deal to save face.
I like Rosie, but sometimes she does go to far and it is apparent she has many demons that she cannot stop wrestling. We all have issues--but Rosie's not only end up alienating her coworkers, she does a fair job on supporters and fans also. - Reply to this comment
- Rosie has absolutely nothing to apologize for......
Here we go again, not surprising, hypocritical, sanctimonious, pseudo-self-righteous white folks slinging trash against Rosie.
Trying to decipher if these erroneous comments are made, because of your biasness towards Rosie or you actually found it disgusting that she dressed her daughter up as a soldier, too difficult to distinguish.
Your belligerent comments have only demonstrated how truly unilateral and myopic your views are when it comes to certain individuals.
Rosie obviously proved a valid point that most of those Americans in support of the war when confronted with the actuality or its visualization, i.e. seeing a soldier strapped with armament, viewing dead bodies, etc. the reality becomes too distasteful.
For those whom have vehemently lashed out at Rosie you are all hypocrites, because seeing this child wearing army fatigue shouldn%u2019t have aroused such animosity.
And considering most of you pro-gun owners are in support of this war this visual display should have aroused your so-called patriotism, as oppose to viciously slandering Rosie.
You people are a real piece of work%u2026 - Reply to this comment
- Rosie has a point. In a country where 18 year olds can't drink alcohol legally, where most girls become instant minute meat markets for every guy under the sun, where most at that age are still dependents on their parent's income tax, still get their parent's health insurance and rely on their parents for support (or still live at home)...we dare to be upset about a kid in fatigues with ammo? Why? Soon enough we put our kids in real uniforms with real ammo and volunteer them to be blown up in a war based on lies. Or perhaps just as bad, expect them to bear the emotional and psychological burdens of destroying people--over there, so many Americans who are afraid--don't have to fight them over here.
America has a lot of hypocrisy and double standards to deal with. We COULD start with people promoting violence in imagery and with toy guns, etc. OR...we could start with pretending when we drop bombs on people and kill them, that we are the good guys, who are rescuing them, without their permission, and they are just victim for a cause they never even had a say in. - Reply to this comment
- EAT OUT all of you Rosie haters. I suppose none of you sanctimonious men here have never changed an opinion or viewpoint! Gawd No! That's why you are all so hamstrung by your antiquated, moronic, half-baked, sophomoric ideas. Grow up...and quit f-ing being so hateful toward Rosie...

- "WOW!!! Kids have played dress up and make believe for centuries, why in the world do people make such a fuss about such stupid stuff???? RIDICULOUS."
For me it's not that the kids were playing dress up. It's that Rosie is anti-gun and war so why would she encourage her children to dress in this way and play war and more importantly, why would she post a photo of it on her blog if not for controversy and attention? - Reply to this comment
- NOTE. THIS COMMENT IS A CONTINUATION OF MY OTHER COMMENTS BELOW. READ THEM IN ORDER.
But the absolute WORST thing Rosie has ever done, has been to call our troops TERRORISTS. And then to deny it. Um, Rosie? YOU SAID IT ON NATIONAL TELEVISION! I heard you! Just like EVERYONE else heard you! I cannot believe you had to gall to try to deny saying it! You must really be psychotic or something. After 9/11 you were real quick to donate $1 million to the rescue efforts. But, you were also REALLY quick to FORGET what happened that day. Our troops risk their lives everyday to make sure that there is never another 9/11. Our troops haven%u2019t forgotten. I haven%u2019t forgotten. Most REAL Americans haven%u2019t forgotten. Maybe you should take your FOUR-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER and raise her in Iraq or Afghanistan. The children there grow up looking like your daughter did in that picture %u2013 with guns ready to shoot Americans. The children there are taught in schools at a VERY young age that America & Americans are bad. The children there are literally taught how to be terrorists. You & your daughter should join them. You%u2019re not wanted here.
But, you would never go there because you wouldn%u2019t have the FREEDOM to BE a lesbian, or the FREEDOM to call their troops terrorists, or the FREEDOM to have a blog and post pictures of your gun-toting child up. Because the REAL terrorists wouldn%u2019t allow it, Rosie. You need to face reality, and fast. - Reply to this comment
- Although, I guess I really shouldn%u2019t be surprised by her hypocratic gun control stance (see my comment below). Rosie has always been, and always will be, an attention-seeking liar and hypocrite! Back when she was the self proclaimed %u201CQueen of Nice%u201D she told anyone who would listen to her that she was attracted to Tom Cruise. Later she said she was a lesbian. Which is it, Rosie? My lesbian friends have NEVER been attracted to Tom Cruise. They%u2019ve been attracted to the Nicole Kidman%u2019s & Katie Holmes%u2019 of the world. Also, since Rosie %u2018came out%u2019 as a lesbian, she has publicly %u2018outed%u2019 other people. Rosie, you hid your sexual identity from the world until YOU were ready to tell people. What gives YOU the right to tell other people that someone that has never stated he was gay, IS gay. Because that%u2019s what you did to Clay Aiken in November of last year. He%u2019s never stated if he was gay or straight. He feels it%u2019s nobody%u2019s business, and he's right. Yet, you told the world that he was gay, without ANY proof! You slandered someone just to make yourself feel bigger than Kelly Ripa. Rosie, you literally sicken me.

- On April 19, 1999 Rosie stated, and I quote: %u201CYou are not allowed to own a gun, and if you do own a gun, I think you should go to prison". Then in May of that same year, she verbally attacked Tom Selleck for appearing in an NRA commercial. A week later Rosie (who claims she LOVES Broadway) refused to let Bernadette Peters sing a song from %u2018Annie Get Your Gun%u2019 on her show, because it contained the line %u201CI can shoot a partridge with a single cartridge%u201D %u2013 Wow. It sure sounds like Rosie is anti-guns. But, in reality, Rosie is only anti-guns for OTHER people %u2013 not herself & her family. Rosie%u2019s bodyguards carry guns. Even after the other parents at her children%u2019s schools complained that they didn%u2019t want a gun on the school grounds, Rosie insisted that it was needed there. At a school. Full of CHILDREN. And now she parades her FOUR-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER around dressed like a guerilla, all locked, stocked, and waiting to fire. Hey, Rosie, just what exactly IS your stance on gun control? Because you have me very confused.

- Sounds like Rosie is raising some knowledgeable kids! At least they know what guns and soldiers ARE! How many young people joining the military today have even fired a gun? Rosie is allowing her kids to be kids and use their imaginations. Good job, Rosie!!

Rosie annoys the *** out of me, but I agree with her on this one. There's much more important things in the world than getting all upset at her allowing her kid to dress up like a soldier! - Reply to this comment
- "What bugs me is the way she smiles---if you can call it that. That contortion of the face is how you check to see if you have spinach in your teeth, not how you indicate mirth."
I couldn't have said it better myself. I hate to see pictures of her because of that ANNOYING smile! - Reply to this comment
